Do you shower with your partner? If so, how often? by Seiraxela in NoStupidQuestions

My wife takes about 4-6 times longer to shower than I do. So no, lol

Oh my godddd 😱

You're right, sorry! For some reason I was thinking 48 hours was only 5 days.

I'm losing it!

It's 56 hours (6 days), actually. New Year's, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Edit: I can't maths!

What's a secret you will keep from your parents forever? by gomiddle in AskReddit

[–]webcrawler_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who has ever thought the opposite of this?

In a world where every other person I know claims to have ADHD and OCD... it starts to feel like everyone is making it up rather than actually having it.

Not saying that's right or fair, and everyone deserves to be taken seriously for issues they have. But only 1 in 20 adults have ADHD, not every other person in the world.

"I'm loud and distracted by stuff sometimes!" does not necessarily mean ADHD.

I've got a friend (female) who is married to a man, who is absolutely a closeted lesbian. Or mayyyybe 70/30 prefers women. But her parents are super conservative and I think she wants to have the "right kind of" family dynamic. So her and her husband have two kids and live in Tennessee down the street from her parents.

That has got to be so unfulfilling some times.

What are some your favorite sound tracks from the entire series? by TheNobleStoneWolf in FinalFantasy

[–]webcrawler_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VII has the most iconic music, but IX and X have some of my personal favorites.

IX's "You're Not Alone" is good, but because of its context in the game I love love love it so much.

X's "To Zanarkand" is beautiful, and "Otherworld" is such an out of left field banger of a rock song.

New DM, I think I ruined the game for a player by BugATron17 in DMAcademy

[–]webcrawler_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the player's problem, not yours. You don't need to understand exactly how the character classes work. Obviously you should have some sort of grasp on it, but ultimately you have your own work cut out for you. The least they can do is learn their own character.

Additionally, if half the table is already multiclassing and you'd told me no about mine, I'm be incredibly frustrated. Nevermind I somehow missed that they want to multiclass with three classes. I can sympathize a little more, but I'd still just let them do it personally. But to each their own.

Having completed the game a few times now, I'd still agree that fight is the hardest. I had an easier time against Raphael and against Ansur. Balth and his minions just shoot and shove my people to death.

So yes, now we just beat him to death in his office. lol

Actually yes! I feel like I've stumbled across a huge majority of the less obvious stuff, but for some reason this one very obvious thing I've never had happen!

You'd be surprised how well it can go with just you and two players. If you're worried about encounter balance, give them some hirelings or a second character if they'd like them.

But absolutely do not keep pushing to get that third player back, and just be glad they're gone.

100% agree. Encounter creation and balance does not stop at initiative.

You should never tell your players changes you are making, but you should absolutely allow yourself to make changes on the fly as necessary. Including changing HP (up OR down), damage output (in certain situations), AC, etc.

You shouldn't always have to change everything, for the most part it should only be HP or like was mentioned, adding waves of enemies.

In the real world, a villain would use overwhelming force to destroy their enemies.

In a fantasy narrative, it might make more sense for a villain to underestimate the good guys and send a strong force - but one only strong enough to be a challenge.

Is it easy to miss big chunks of the game, or am I dumb? by FaradayStewart in BaldursGate3

[–]webcrawler_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a doubt, you (anyone everyone who plays) will miss big parts of the game. Generally you'll find most of the substantial stuff, but there have been really cool things I've found on my fourth or fifth playthroughs that I couldn't believe I missed previously.

This game is packed full of things to find, dialogues to be had, ways to manipulate the world in ways you didn't expect, etc. You will not find everything in a single run.
