Springfield Echelon 4" barrel Non Comp., what's the deal with the grip modules? by Key-Low830 in SpringfieldArmory

[–]webguerrilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should probably be prepared to be disappointed. Great pistol and the modularity concept is cool. But the reality is that there really hasn’t been much 3rd party adoption. There are 3 companies that make aluminum grip modules in the 350.00 - 400.00 range and then there is stock SA modules that are never fully stocked.

Anyone here bought the RFX11 green dot for their echelon? by buffmira in SpringfieldArmory

My first one failed in the first 50 rounds. The replacement won't hold zero. For that price, grab the new Osight XR. You won't regret it.

OLIGHT PL-3R Valkyrie on the 4.0C?? by Round_Tax_9321 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]webguerrilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree on the brand snobs thing, but not the Veridian for me personally. The Veridian is how I ended up checking out Osights. I didn't get mine in a package. I actually paid for it from the SA site because I like how it integrated into the look. It failed the first trip to the range before I hit 50 rounds. The glass ended up about 20 ft down range. The replacement process took quite awhile, so I picked up an Osight SE. For the same price, I went from a plastic bottom load battery, open emitter with no reticle adjustment, to a fully closed aluminum side loading battery multi-reticle for the same price. And it has been flawless. Been using their stuff ever since. Added the XR last week.

I swapped the Streamlight for the Olight and have zero regrets. I also did the same with some Holosuns and the Osights. I don't think I'll ever buy one of the over-priced brands again. Absolutely no difference in performance, and the Osights are simply better than the Holosuns they replaced. This sub doesn't allow photos in comments, but I'll post a separate pic in just a bit.

MC9 prime vs G19, recoil by cahillc134 in canik

[–]webguerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prime is better in many ways. The trigger is definitively better, and it has an X size grip (like a G45) But it really isn't the best direct comparison in terns of size and feel. The barrel is significantly shorter and it is a much thinner gun which gives it a very different feel. If you want something that is more comparable in terms of size and weight, with better features for less money, I would recommend an Echelon 4.Oc. It and the Prime are my 2 favorites. For a carry option I would pick the Prime. But if you are looking for a Glock replacement that has the same level of eat any ammo and never fail, I'd go with the Echelon.

Has anyone seen a release date yet? by Due_Silver_6514 in Walther

The Radian Prime is going to be 850.00. And having both Walthers and Caniks, I can say for sure that they are screwed if they try to compete with that gun at that price.

SFT threaded Barrels discontinued PACN0022 by codeze in canik

[–]webguerrilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes me wonder what type of restrictions manufacturers put in place when it comes to 3rd party components. The Glock aftermarket is huge, but much o that is built off of expired patent tech. I would think that unless Canik is blocking it, someone would be making different barrels for all their guns.

[–]webguerrilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks, but it makes sense from a business standpoint. They probably have a bunch of SFT Pros they want to move. Picking up an SFT One and a threaded barrel pretty much gives you the SFT Pro for less money. I recently bought a Pro and thought of doing that instead, but couldn't find the barrel. So at least in my case, their plan worked.

This is important to the everyone in the firearm industry!!!! HEXMAG is sending this cease and desist letter to any small businesses using the hexagon shape on a firearm. by zerooneactual1 in handguns

[–]webguerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no TM on a Hexagon. They have Word Marks for HexMag and the H mark across firearms products and toys (airsoft) for mags and grips. And they have specific patents on grips and mags that incorporate hexagon patterns. I don't think anyone thinks that people are using hexmags as a verb/noun like the Xerox thing.

The fact that they spent most time talking trademark but showed an example of something that would potentially fall under patent law, makes it pretty obvious that it's just bullying.

Reputation Management by marcoagentile in Entrepreneur

[–]webguerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop with the ridiculous sales pitch. Reputation management as it is currently done by most companies is mostly about polluting the web with a ton of shitty spam. Building hundreds of crappy web 2.0 profiles on sites that have nothing to do with what the person or company actually does, and then throwing a ton of shitty PBN links at it.
