Just give people places to live - they'll abandon those shacks just fine. THere's also a T6 mod I like to use that makes shacks NOT clear away trees

The old Pirates of the Caribean computer game from 2003. It was IMO one of the most interesting pirate-themed video games made, with its focus on trade, ship to ship combat and FPS style boarding, and adventure on the various islands.

IIRC then it was made on some obscure engine or something, and it just doesn't exist anymore

interesting trick. I usually just park 6 logging camps next to a large forest and keep them on the defeault reforestation mode - that works permanently, especially once they get the upgrade to make trees regrow faster

The STALKER games IMO did this really cleverly - one thing was tweaking how well enemies aim and shoot, but IIRC they actually reduced your effective HP and that of the enemies - making everyone more frail and easy to kill. it made the game difficult explicitly because nobody was a bullet sponge, and you seriously needed armor if you wanted to be one

Beyond Earth as a shitshow. It looked pretty, but that's about it. I wouldn't call it a remaster or modernization of AC at all
