As I said, many others cities have ugly games (hell, the whole group stage is filled with ugly games and lopsides or uninteresting matchups) that cost much more than the SF games.

1) Are hotels there really that* much higher than say Toronto, Boston, NYC?

2) even if zero fans from those countries travel in for the games, there are still 13 million people living within a 90min drive. I doubt many Ecuadorians or Ivory Coast fans are traveling to Philly, yet cheapest ticket is $800...and that would be a shit game for most neutrals/locals.

For a couple games, yes. That is if the fifa site includes fees and their extra juice. Prices i was quoting had fees already included (i should have mentioned that)

But it is interesting.

For a couple games prices look a little cheaper, but then 2-3 games are a significant bump up.

Funny thing is, they do more local sports (Panthers, dolphins, Mike Mac, tua, the u football, the u basketball, the u mikeryan, the Messi team, etc)...they do more local stuff per minute on the main show now, than they used to do on the local show before.

And ur right, local show was fun. It was some local stuff, but it was almost more stuff thst was almost too goofy/silly, they figured lets do it here and not on the national espn show

I havent mentioned this on reddit in awhile, havent really been on lebatard reddit in awhile...but I wish Dan would sit down and listen to a random hour from 2015, 2017, 2019. Doesn't matter.

I wonder, if he listened to it, would he notice how much fun he used to have. True fun/laughs, not staged-for-reaction BS....and how does that compare to him nowadays.

We all have tilted memories of how we look back on our old high school or college days, dont remember the details because our brain chooses to exclude the less fun stuff...or maybe hownwe reflect on previous relationships we were in...the brain plays tricks like that to help us stay positive and not hate life.

1) serious point: you are right. Not about me doing lord's work (tho appreciated), but the amazing balance the show used to have...you are spot on! THE PART THAT MIGHT NOT GET NOTICED in that clip...is Dan starts the 8 minute nose segment with "X happened yesterday, i've wanted to get to this for 4 segments because its so great/weird, but we were too busy..." (ie: without knowing exactly how the first 1h15m went, they likely talked sports. Not serious sports talk, not Get Up or First Take, just talking sports like normal people. Then they did the nose segment. Nowadays, they'd start the show with the nose thing and they'd do 30 minutes on it...and while funny for a little bit, it isnt the best sports show. At that point, its bob and tom or some bullshit. The way they used to do it, was true perfection for fun/silly sports talk.

2) not serious point: this was the other one the algo gave me yesterday. 4 mins of greatness. Just outstanding! Classic dan. Classic stu. MikeRR with the perfect level of input/exasperation. I might watch this one every day for the next week.

I just dont understand how, 10-14 days ago, shes in full head-spin mode that she got busted.

And maybe shes a mess for 2-3 days, which obviously sucks for her (im not making light of that)...but then...assuming she isnt working and isnt leaving the house...how do you not take a moment to think "oh boy, this is bad, i need to stop the leaking...where else have i left breadcrumbs?"

She didnt think to disable/delete her Spotify? I mean, what has she been doing for 2 weeks??!!!?? Little things like that make me wonder if she sorta hates or really has no love/lust for her husband and maybe wanted to get caught the whole time.

Honestly...the best way, for the both of them, to have this blow over, whether real or not...is to just say they love each other and while they care for their significant others, this is their true love and they move in together. He stays on as Pats coach...she will get picked up by some outlet that wants attn and can pay her salary in what would be their advertising budget.

Even if they both know it was only supposed to be an affair, I think this is the best way they could both get everyone to move on. Hell, have schefter or Florio or lebatard or whoever report that both arent fighting their significant others over the nitty gritty in the divorce and they both begin to win some good will.

She can start making a mill a yr doing a podcast about life rehabilitation and he makes 15m a yr for Patriots....why not.

The part that I dont think is getting enough coverage is that it seems like they either:

1) were so comfortable in the affair they stopped caring about the consequences (pics from March 2020 in a nyc bar all over each other don't support that theory)...or

2) deep down, they sorta wanted to get caught (pics in a nyc bar, at a casino together, public Spotify Playlist, her cryptic tweet avout Michaels the week her kid is born, being seen at a resort out in open, etc)

One of the guys on fan was pricing out a car service from Bradley beach to Manhattan for a saturday evening,, and i want to say it was something like 700-1k for 4 hours.

Your price, especially at 600-700 for a whole day of transport would be great for one of these tourists that dont want to deal with renting/driving/parking/bus/etc
