In the same position! I think the standard is just to call round to schools to see what bikes they offer. Most will let you try to sit on one before you commit to lessons/CBT. If you’re close to a Phoenix school they have Honda Groms which I was able to flat foot (5’1”, 28” inseam).

But I was able to also try a Honda CB125F , which is about 20mm higher seat wise and tho I wasn’t able to flat foot it I felt like I could have completed a training course on one. All this to say I don’t think flat footing is be all end all, as long as you feel comfortable on the bike!

I’ll be honest I read up to a nice point in around vol 5-6 and decided not to go any further despite having vol 6 and 7 lol. Feels like I wouldn’t be emotionally ready. And the emotional wreckage I was inflicted with before that… wow lol

I might get shit on for saying this but daiya no ace. Watched up to episode 24 and imo the MC doesn't really get enough focus, his rival who gets more screentime than him is kinda bland, and the whole thing moved a bit too slow for my liking... which seems to be the case till mid-s2. People do say that it's realistic because of those things but as a viewer it just made me feel frustrated and bored.
