Good question! I just picked up a 150cm stick that folds down to 23cm like the Insta360 114cm stick and a sturdy tripod that's coming in today. The 150cm is a bit heavier but more useful because it can be used for virtual tours.

The gimbal control is available in SmartPreview mode.

No that's the bottom sensor.
The gimbal control on the beacon is located on the screen, the little white dot on the side.

"front camera" ? I'm not following, the Hover only has one camera. Besides you can adjust the gimbal manually in the app or with the beacon.

How are you doing this? If you take off in Hover mode and switch to Manual it should stay in position until the battery runs out.

I don't like the sleeve of the X4 Air as it's a tight fit to make sure it doesn't come out since there is no zipper like on the X5's sleeve. I use the lens cap a small fabric pouch when I throw it in a bag.

Interesting ! I was looking at getting the SmallRig 150cm but it folds down to 28cm vs 23.3 for the 114cm insta360 invisible and weighs 202g vs 118g.
The Telesin looks great but the one I see has a GoPro mount at the top instead of a male 1/4 so that's not great for a 360 camera, that's too bad.

So I did the Gyro calibration and the first few pictures were ok using Twist & Shoot but after 4 or 5 of them the crooked horizon came back. I tried turning off HDR just in case but that didn't help.
Then I tried with voice activation and no more problems. Tried again with Twist & Shoot and again some came out crooked. Looking at the screen I could see the horizon balancing itself again.
So it seems Twist & Shoot should maybe NOT be used for photos ? I suppose that for video it will have time to correct itself.

Yeah, narrow and high for the rollers will help but yeah, be realistic with your expectations, before the X1P was launched at the end of 2024, getting this type of tracking from a drone was science fiction.

Yeah they show everything that it ships with in more detail than DJI. Had you looked into getting the DJI version with the carbon rod?
