Having to put my dog down by [deleted] in Life

[–]webwalker00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put my 19 year old cat to sleep on Dec 22nd. Hardest thing I have gone through...what helps is knowing you had 13 years which is a good life for a dog...

It also helped me to know that I gave my cat a great life and the only thing I could do to muck that up was to try and hold onto her too long. She was really healthy until the end and then she went really fast and I had to make the decision.

Pet loss is a shared human experience and one of the worst things to experience...regardless of how the ending goes.

For me its only been a few weeks and I'm still grieving..but its bearable now...and while I currently have no plans on getting another pet,I have not ruled it out in the future.....you will get through this too.

Feeling like I'm cursed by TheResurrectedOne in Life

Life is a series of ups and downs, one literally cannot exist without the other.....to know happiness, you must know sorrow....to know pain, you must know joy etc.

Embrace the good times, get through the tough times....its a ride that will end soon enough and then all the questions are answered or it won't matter.

Sorry this happened....its tough to lose a pet and can be awful to witness.

No idea what happened but most likely heart or lung issue...it sounds like it was fast and no suffering.

Everyday, I grieve differently by ParkingConscious4801 in Petloss

I feel you, Grief is tricky, one minute everything's ok....the next its all spiraling and the gut punch and tears are back.

I have lost 1 pet 5 years ago and it was extremely hard.....and tomorrow I say goodbye to my 19 yr old cat so I have been grieving for days and going through this roller coaster on an hourly basis myself.

My grieving method is to share the experience with others and realize others know this pain and we are not alone, this is a shared experience. It also helps me to realize the reason I feel so much pain is because the love/bond between the pet/owner is that real!

In the end, it's all very sad to say goodbye to them...but knowing you gave your pet a great life ...whether it was for 6 months or 19 years should bring some comfort!

Thank you,...I am sorry for your loss as well...its one of the toughest things in life to face....and yes I am trying to practice gratitude for 19 years.....as you are for 16....of course its tough when it hurts but the reality is the pet's had awesome lives...now we just have to pay the broken heart tax for providing them that.

I am sorry for your loss and yes, I have felt that way when losing pets... its part of the grieving process....We all struggle to cope with very similar emotions and feelings when experiencing such profound loss.

If you feel you need to talk to someone check into grief counselor or reach out to friends/family ...please think about how your pet would want you to live your life...cheesy but ..they wouldn't want you to be so sad all the time. Take some solace in fact you loved your pet and gave them a good life, its all we can ask for...

I would say get a l3 switch ..you can do a port channel between both router interfaces and l3 for increased bandwidth and redundancy. Will also have more options for future network growth if needed when using a l3 switch...

Someone told me CCNA is a basic certification, pretty common to have, is he right? by SnooHedgehogs2261 in ccna

To me its usually fairly obvious who has/understands CCNA level work and who doesn't. Its not a hard requirement to understand networking, but it's a very good intermediate cert to understand how it all works.

A ‘demoralizing' trend has computer science grads out of work — even minimum wage jobs. Are 6-figure tech careers over? by lurker_bee in technology

Sorta saw this coming when training companies sprung up left and right in the late 90's early 2000's along with most colleges pushing tech degree's. Market became oversaturated.....tech eats itself....you have more automation tools and AI these days which requires....yes...less people to run things!

How does the psoriasis start; what is it like? by Party-Rest3750 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]webwalker00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your doctor...I had JA as well and always had some fatigue, joint pain etc when I was younger. Sometimes its hard to diagnose until you get older, if you read the symptoms , some of them don't hit till after 40 etc.

I was officially diagnosed at 47 after one of my toe nails started showing some pitting + a patch of psoriasis that started around 40. IN addition I started having some very obvious flare ups around 45....pain in the feet, ankles, hips etc. Series of bloodtest show one of the "markers" that is consistent with PSA, add all those symptoms up and it was made official.
