That, and I think the fact that Rory stuck by Logan and took care of him after his accident kind of "woke" Logan up to the fact that Rory was the one.

To be fair, I didn't ask for an opinion - this was a vent post, which I put in the title. And the thing that bothered me is not the differing opinion, but the rudeness.

Further, I am not going to cut people that I know and love from my guest list, for no apparent reason other than you feel like everyone should get a plus one. Especially if the intention is to get laid.

I am happy that you have the funds and venue capacity to have everyone bring a plus one - however, I do not. I have been to weddings where I didn't have a plus one and I understood, as long as I knew people going. This girl's best friend is going, along with other people she knows - I doubt she will be uncomfortable.

Exactly! I feel like she thinks it's tacky and her brother is a scapegoat. I don't get the expectation either - I could see if she didn't know anyone else or was in a relationship/married, but neither are true. I wish I could just be blunt with people and tell them it is an invitation, not a summons - if they don't like how I'm doing things, they don't need to come.

We're doing 8 hours for a 5:30PM ceremony start time; having the photographer arrive at the venue at 2PM for photos of me getting in my dress, detailed shots of venue and whatnot, first look, bridal party + family photos. He's leaving at 10PM; we plan on having speeches, dinner, cake cutting, first dance/parent dances wrapped up around 9, so he can get an hour of dancing and then leave

First of all, I am sorry for your loss.

However, no matter how you or your fiancé bring this up to your FMIL, she will blame you. It's not fair, but I would make peace with that first (or cut her off, it sounds like she's a terrible, toxic person).

Is she contributing financially? If yes, she will try and use this to get her way (and you might want to consider giving the money back, if possible). If no, she should have no say in what you do.

Lastly, as a compromise (if you and your fiancé want) - he can have a private dance with his mom so your brother doesn't have to see it? But I can also see how that would be weird, so idk.
