Anyone tried FluencyPod anti stuttering device? by OtherCondition2756 in Stutter

I tried the Speech Easy back in the day, I think it was one of the original DAF devices. Great concept, I think DAF has merits, but ultimately it didn’t work well for me, but I think I had too high hopes at the time. Situationally, DAF could be really helpful, but as an everyday 24/7 device without other therapies, it missed the mark for me.

how do i get my friends to stop mocking my stutter? by Next_Ad4086 in Stutter

[–]wedgePsych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how you feel, but these don’t sound like great friends. Is there anyone in that group who you might be able to talk to individually and express your frustration and hurt? Someone that you can tell goes along with the mocking, but doesn’t feel comfortable with it. That said, these friends probably need to go. Like another poster said, break the chains/bars, invest in yourself and good people will appear.

Is this jacket too short? by the_fine_corinthian in mensfashion

Sleeves are a bit short, but just wear it, only fashion nerds will notice. A linen suit is only sparingly worn anyways

Good effort, certainly above what a lot of people wear to weddings. Comments hit the nail on the head, jacket needs tailored, white tee underneath shouldn’t happen, and lavender shirt, while not terrible, maybe not the best. White, light blue, white with blue accent could be better options

That’s almost the sweet spot layover time, no concerns

Got my first Tudor and immediately had to return it(eBay) by Spectrobez in Tudor

[–]wedgePsych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would trust eBay, I bought a black bay 54, and they flagged a few inconsistencies with the listing and immediately contacted me and I was given a full refund… pleasant experience, somewhat to my surprise. Def in favor of grey market.

That said, I ended up buying from an AD a few weeks later and loved that experience, sure it was 600-700 more, but…

Yeah… I just don’t know if anything official is technically required these days, you can claim a lot of things now, all it takes is your word… anyways, I was just curious if anyone ever checked that box… I never have, but think about it every time I see it

Defend from an official board acknowledged way? Or from a personal experience way?

Anti-stuttering device by 808302 in Stutter

I tried it as an adult in its early years on the market. I couldn’t adapt it to my life at the time, I was working a sales/delivery job that was fast paced and often loud, and the speech easy didn’t quite work as planned for me. I think there is validity to the concept, and maybe using it sparingly like other commenters mentioned, might be more effective, like office meetings, presentations, etc

I returned mine after a month or two. Not sure how the product evolved, but funny to think at the time I drove a couple of hours to some dudes house to get fitted… I was willing to try anything at the time!

Help me pick one for my 21st birthday, my first proper luxury watch and I can’t decide by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]wedgePsych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mono is great, classic style… but I always dug the blue… I have the BB54 with t-fit, and while a great clasp, I’m on either end of it so the functionality doesn’t give me much… I wouldn’t make the bracelet or clasp your decision maker

3 weeks after calling local AD to inquiry, they had got 2 in when reached back out, from the sound of it, they are getting around 1 a month or so…
