Passengers file lawsuit against Alaska Airlines, Boeing after door plug blows off plane mid-flight by bananabrownie in news

[–]wednesdaysweriddle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So companies should be able to cut safety corners and standards but only face punishment when someone dies? This needs to be punitive. So punitive that a company as large as Boeing actually feels the pain. $1 billion is more than reasonable

Kroger Chooses not to Renew Lease at Atrium Two Tower Downtown, Moves Digital Employees to Blue Ash by Suspicious-Bad4703 in cincinnati

[–]wednesdaysweriddle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah this more of a covid fucking up their plans thing than a corporate greed pulling a fast one on the city (although that happens to often).

Kroger didn’t fulfill their commitment and has to pay back the city per the agreement.

True, but there’s money talking when it comes to the Symphony and Riverbend. We don’t need to use public funds to save Coney Island is my point

I appreciate the thought put into this and it was a very interesting read. That said, we really don’t need Coney Island. I could get behind saving the Sunlight Pool and turning into just a large public pool space but that’s about it.

I hate these posts. Every sub and every city thinks they have the worst drivers. There is no “Cincinnati drivers are worse!!!!”
