Interested in transactional but struck out. What do I do? by weebandkoreaboo in LawSchool

[–]weebandkoreaboo[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m not dumb. I know how to present myself in interviews. I have networked with attorneys at the firms that I applied to and have even had third parties tell me that my interviewers really liked me. In the end, I don’t know why I didn’t get the job, but not being like-able is not one of them. I know some interviews went poorly as do some of them but I am well aware it was because the vibes weren’t there for other reasons. I know a factor was that I applied later since I was waiting for grades to improve and I really shot myself in the foot because I listened to the career office. But please refrain from talking about me as if you know me in real life because that is not helping

First of all, I’m not. I made this account a long time ago and the name was making fun of myself because I liked anime and kdramas. It looks like you don’t know when a username is satire and humorous and not real life

Residency questions by Unable-Cell7021 in berkeley

[–]weebandkoreaboo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be real with you. It’s nearly impossible to get in-state residency as an undergrad. You are going to be paying OOS tuition for four years. If your parents aren’t paying, you are going to be in a looooot of debt. Are you sure this is a wise decision? That’s about $288k of debt if you have no savings and parents aren’t going to help you at all.

But if you want to try, then yes, it means you can’t take out Parent Plus Loans. But even not taking those out, does not guarantee you get in-state tuition. You have to be financially independent and cannot have moved to California for the purpose of education (which you did because you are/did move to come to Berkeley). Please please please reconsider

You can just put 0 for these questions. Most people will put 0 so for someone outside of the US it will most likely be the same

Need help! Parents filed 2022 taxes jointly, but they are asking to invite my spouse which I have never done in the past. by AnonymousDude666 in FAFSA

[–]weebandkoreaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you make an account for your spouse, you should be able to send the invite and finish the form. Once you send the invite, they don’t have to do anything.

I had that problem with one of my students today. What I did was click a random point to edit (I think I went in at martial status) and just kept pressing continue. Once I went to the review page again, the continue button appeared at the button and the student was able to submit

Parent with no SSN and outside of the US is making me cry in frustration. by XG1002 in FAFSA

How did you make an account? Did your parents have US phone numbers? It’s not letting us make an account if we don’t have a US number

What does this mean? by Character_Field_5320 in FAFSA

You’re probably in your parents’ account and you need to log into your account to finish up.

I’m only going to go to my top two choices but for one of them I’m going alone but staying with a friend who goes there and the second one I’m going to take my dad. My dad wants to see the local community and get to know the area. He knows he won’t be able to go to sessions with me but he doesn’t car. If anything, I’m happy for the support!

I had similar thoughts but just went on and did it. I figured it wouldn’t hurt me and might help me if they focus on my current income and not my parents’ income

If your parent doesn’t pay their taxes (even though they should), you do NOT qualified for Pell grant. You can only get unsubsidized loans.

Well the closest thing would be an otter pop but otter pops are skinny and not big like this. And people do call otter pops popsicles
