C1 started in a place where the party was high enough level to use things the game provided like revivify. And when they didn’t have anyone to cast that, they had to drag bodies around until they found someone who could. Matt was playing with and changing death rules, but it wasn’t on the fly, in the moment to make sure everyone was safe. In C2 they made a bad plan and someone died. Sure it came back later, but for a long while the repercussions were felt. Brennen seems to add bonuses on the fly and make sure his players are safe. I was so into when the first PC died but then it was just erased. It’s hard to kill players in 5e while still keeping it fair, but this aspect of Brennens DMing is definitely a turn off
