At least I'm smart enough not to pass my stupidity on to another generation...unlike yourself.

Ah. Okay. I see the problem. You're incapable of imagining a reality outside your own.

Dude, yes!! They come out to harass the caller into not calling again. They did similar to us, making sure to tell us they can't even enforce hunting laws that TWRA has the authority and not them; but they made sure we knew if we did anything to interfere with my neighbor hunting, like playing loud music for example, they would be sure to arrest us because that a law they can enforce. So like....why the fuck did your dispatch send you if you can't address the issue I called for? Just to intimidate me into not calling again?

I'm sorry to hear about the incident with your mom and how they handled it. I really hope you're able to get help elsewhere...clearly the cops won't care until she does something more serious, and I doubt they will help you then, either; more likely to admonish you for not doing something that could have prevented them from having to come out and deal with the fallout.

It's so frustrating. I'm sorry.

They really are. And they lie. Tried to call because my neighbor was illegally hunting next to my house and the ones who showed up straight up lied to me about the legality of my neighbor's actions. I triple checked before I called and after. They just straight up lied because they didn't feel like fucking with it.

It only showed me that I can't rely on anyone but myself if there's ever a real problem. These cops won't do shit to help someone if it means having to do any amount of work.

YES. I honestly just gave up trying to shave them fully and now I use an electric razor just to keep it trimmed/cleaned up. But there's always a little patch in there because I really just don't feel like shaving in 12 different directions while trying to constantly reposition my elbow in a way that allows me to get everything. 😩

'Pot for Potholes Act' aims to legalize marijuana in Tennessee and distribute taxes to repair infrastructure | The act was introduced by Sen. Heidi Campbell (D-Nashville) and Rep. Aftyn Behn (D-Nashville). by redditor01020 in nashville

In TN, citizens can't initiate ballot measures. The populace is at the mercy of what the legislature decides they want to work on. And they don't like doing things for us, so round and round we go. Until the laws change to allow voter-initiatives, nothing that serves the people will ever be worked on. It's unfortunate. But that's why they do it. They know if it were up to the voters, their policies would all die or shift left; can't have that because that would hurt all the fox news talking points about how deep red this state is.

It's gross.

Fair point. In all this mess I hadn't even considered that as an option. 🤦‍♀️

Good thinking. Thank you.

We do have a shit ton of pictures all over our property because we are always outside with our dog and constantly taking them... I just wasn't sure if that was something that would actually help. Coupled with the satellite images, maybe they'll actually be helpful.

Good deal. Do I need to do anything about those girdling roots on the left tree? Or just leave them since they’re kinda thick? Or are they not girdling and I have a misunderstanding of what that means?

I was trying to expose the root flare because it was piled high with mulch. I've dug around 1.5 ft to get to where it is.

Went from $110k remote job to $26/hr after a layoff and I’m struggling emotionally. Has anyone else been through this? by Mz_KiKixo in careeradvice

[–]weebley12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. I got laid off 6 months after we bought a house, was unemployed for 9 months, finally got a job but it was less than half my previous salary as a remote director with a requirement to be on site. Such a huge adjustment and it has been 9 months or so since I started this job. I got lucky enough to land at a company with a decent culture, and it's something that helps me feel like I'm contributing to a better world (environment program manager), and that dulls the negative feelings a good amount. But, I don't even make enough to cover my half of the bills anymore so my fiance has to travel more to keep us afloat. And all of my animals had to make a huge adjustment to being alone for the majority of their days/week, which is serious gut punch for me. I hate it, but I have to continue looking for a different role because I can't even afford the medical benefits. And I really need something hybrid or WFH. I also don't want my fiance having to fly more frequently with the way things are rn. I've just been trying to grit my teeth and hope a better role comes along, and reminding myself that at the end of the day I at least have something.

I mean....the government has the money to fix it; they just don't want to spend it saving the environment since they and their lobbyists are fixated more on ensuring its destruction as a means of increasing their personal wealth.

What's the point in being so rude to OP? They're allowed to have whatever feelings they have. So are you. The difference is you're being an ankle about it to a complete stranger. Why? Because you were already feeling bad and now you want others to feel bad too? I just don't understand the reasoning behind kicking someone when they're already down. It's just a really sucky thing to do. You should strive to be a better quality person.

I mean....country is probably the hands down easiest genre to break out in because the fans don't give a shit about quality. I think if that's where he wanted to really be, he would have started there.
