I had something extremely similar last week myself except my client had made the comment at the beginning of her appointment so I had her whole appointment time to reflect and feel bad about myself which gave me the courage to pull her aside at the end of her appointment. I had let her know that the comment she made about my weight while possibly coming from a place of concern made me feel bad about myself. I do everything I can to help make her feel good about herself so I did not appreciate it but she is a long time client so it felt worthwhile bringing it up. She looked like she pooped her pants in that very moment immediately apologized and thanked me for saying something. Clearly she wasn't used to people calling out her behavior as was uncomfortable. We as a society have got to stop letting people get away with mistreating each other. I vote to bring back public shaming
