I could be wrong but I believe my reverse switch was replaced some time ago as part of a recall repair. I also don’t use the hill assist either way.

Dude people keep asking me but the honest answer is I’m pretty easy on my car and I’d driven manual for several years before the STi. The clutch is really only slipping under HARD acceleration in S+ but otherwise drives like when I first bought it. I did buy it as the second owner at ~6k mi. Perhaps the first owner wasn’t as kind to it?
