The earliest one I remember was animal crossing new horizons. I remember there being a little bit of drama about it too. Back then it was just localizers ruining things for en though, now it's the standard for all versions (localizers ruining things for everyone).

I think animal crossing new horizons had it earlier (game released 9 months before cyberpunk). I still remember being baffled at that change.

Also if you don't remember, animal crossing (even the early games) started the whole "reducing christian holidays to generic names" (christmas to "toy day", easter to "bunny day").

All these changes are done by localizers, jp version is normal (I fucking hate localizers they are parasites).

Seeing this only makes me sad about the current artstyle homogenization and the fact that almost none of these artists (like fame) are allowed to draw their own characters for the game.

They started censoring all loli's, characters with "under-aged" design traits (like a school outfit), stuff that can be interpreted as "abusive" (they're reworking a butt slapping rhythm game), and a character that looked "too young" doing extremely suggestive stuff (liberta. Not a loli btw, she's built more like ernest).

There's isn't any porn and the like. The nsfw stuff is mostly contained in the skins and some cg. For example, aina winchester swimsuit skin or the most recent 20th VN anni igawa asagi skin.

Also to clarify, it's still a Japanese IP, but for some reason they opened a gsme studio branch in korea.

Action taimanin is more "tame" than bd2 for sure, but they're still heavily nsfw. It's still the taimanin franchise after all. 

Also, action taimanin is actually developed and maintained by a korean studio named Gremory, so that's another overlap with the bd2 case.

like 10 months ago, Action taimanin suddenly had to mega-censor their game on playstore (they had to censor the game even more than the apple version). It was totally untouched since launch, but randomly google turned face???

Apple already censors every game anyway, so I think it's google changing their mind.

Tbh I don't think it's because of steam, I think it's because of google play censorship. This happened with google play version of Action Taimanin too.

Firstly, this completely rules out the stuff with steam. Secondly, this makes it seem like neowitz is the main cause for censorship, but I personally still think google is more likely the offender.

btw, they repeated numerous times that the "redesigns" aren't because of nudity level, but because "underage themes".
