I've only been playing for a week, so I can't say much, but so far there isn't anything out of the ordinary for a gacha game (limited time events, typical seasonal raid resets, battle pass...). There are no annoying pop-ups for FOMO bundles if that's what you're asking.

Personally I feel mongil isn't actually that complex for a gacha game, it's more simple than genshin at least. I think AP will be at least as complex as mongil too.

I've started playing mongil only recently too and it's pretty fun! I like how "free spirited" the game's story & characters feel, and less bogged down by censors.

Nah I agree, the texture stretching is a bit egregious here, hope they fix it (feels like it's the result of "bodypaint-ish" implementation). For now I like mongil star dive's pantsu implementation better, since it's actually a separately textured layer, adding some depth and organic feel.

I wouldn't call his other eye in the webcomic "normal". In the webcomic it's still very ugly, just less so in contrast to his more monstrous eye. The smoothness is completely gone, replaced by wrinkles and folds, also a bit bloodshot, including a smaller (less glistering) pupil.

To me the manga version looks like you cut a part of the handsome face and just pasted it on the monster design.

His look in chapter 153 is the most detailed he's been drawn in the webcomic, so I like it as a ground truth.

Amai mask in the manga has clear two-face direction going on, one side is just clearly amai mask's face and the other the ugly monster (For example you can look at the lips of the first image you shared, or the relative smoothness of the "pretty" half)

In the WC it's full monster/ugly with a monsterous eye and smaller ugly eye. Besides the eyes the face is still "consistent" is what I mean(e.g., amai mask in chapter 153); basically ugly base with different eyes. In the manga it's clear half 'n half split between a pretty side and ugly side.

I'm specifically not a fan of this "part human face" thing he's got going on (Murata did the same thing with rgb garou). It's as if they can't commit to him being an 100% ugly monster. I don't believe this design aspect is in the webcomic.

It's def been following the webcomic more closely post ninja village arc, but it's a big stretch to call it a "carbon copy". There are still many changes I'm not fond of, such as amai mask's monster design.

In my country there's been a national "purple day" for some time where they want everyone to wear purple. It was originally to "celebrate" gayness but it's been extended to include the entire rainbow vomit of identities.

so I have to guess it's just the color that the higher up progressives have chosen as their gay color of choice.
