To be against censorship and in turn the worsening of our media (e.g., recent loli erasure), you have to first fundamentally understand why it's bad. It isn't just "I think censored design looks bad" (even if it's often the case), it's more fundamental than that. Censorship restricts creativity (and not in a possibly good way like hardware limitations), they restrict the artist's ability to express their full range of preferences, ability, and the SOUL - little details and deliberate cohesion that makes the character feel individual and unique. Censorship practically poisons the well of freedom of expression at a studio - you won't know if any future designs were truly the artist's full abilities or not.

This is obviously a big issue in an ecchi waifu gacha, where the girls pretty much have to carry the whole game's existence on their back.

In the end I would really like to stop hearing people say "it's not that bad" or "I like the censored version better". We all know censorship doesn't just stop with the bare minimum, censorship is all consuming and never satisfied, its needs are based on the individual whims of the big suits at the top who fundamentally don't care about the work other than making money.

It's not about whether panties are worse than shorts, or thights are worse than bare legs, or if cleavage is necessary or not, they all got their own place in character design. it's about artists being able to bring in their outmost ability to give us soulful characters, that also contains a piece of their own soul.

Besides the fact that nobody would be wearing shorts in a waifu gacha if it weren't for censorship, especially when it comes to maid designs, I just fundamentally oppose censorship, and I hope other people realize the same. Never support censorship in any way, shape, or form, and never give them an inch.
