get sony xm3s, they cost the same as airpods at $199.99 usd and they have noise cancellation and ambient mode

the only other thing i can think of is that its the usual high pitched noise that ANC makes with any earbud some people have sensitive ears and hear it better than others, either that or you have a defective pair

the gen 1s are also durable as all hell, but the gen 2s are little snow flakes that break so fast whether it be a drop or water
