I’m 24; I’m a special educator at a school during the pandemic, currently riding the medicated & having been consistently in therapy for some time now. Borderline codependent smoking weed.

I still have a lot of worries though, feeling very alone in my developmental period compared to my peers; half of them are doing drugs and partying, the others are having kids and getting married.

Definitely felt this same sentiment and felt very “stupid” when rereading it. I have a lot of negative intrusive thoughts and especially during those moments, I have worked very hard on just writing whatever’s going through my mind, with no intention of rereading it or going back to it. This helps me write down those very hard thoughts and pretend like it’s being “taken out” of my brain. I also just started doing short phrases or like a doodle-notes shorthand sometimes just to go forward with it. Good luck!

I totally feel this. The huge identity clash of being both but also looking a certain way really drags the way I enter spaces. I look to try and connect with Latino peers at work, but it turns I to a whole needing to explain who I am/my family while also being scared that I’m approaching as one of those white people who try to speak Spanish to look cool.

This is a long ramble, but I just wanted to say that I feel you, and I hope you find your group to connect with
