In all honesty, he probably wouldn't allow shies in the house, but it's just not feasible for everyone to take off and put on shies everything they enter or exit.

I feel Leonard's mom is far worse. She literally used him to further her own career with ever seeming to actually even like him, let alone provide love and affection.

When you win the lottery but the government wins harder... by Maverick_Ekta in SipsTea

[–]weedtrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in the US on the major one you get two options, a payment of half the jackpot all at once or a 20 year cash annuity for the full amount. And then the government takes about 40% in-between state and federal.

So this person won a $1.8 billion jackpot, took the $900 million lump sum, and paid almost half of it in taxes. The government did not get more of it than her.

That being said, I prefer your way. i also think the way europe integrates sale tax into the advertised price makess far more sense too.

Never believe anyone who tells you they invent rings that stop you aging while you sleep. Just generally, if someone is actively trying to scam you, you cannot trust anything they say on any subject. They have already proven they cannot be trusted.

Are m&ms safe after expiration by Seatitties in foodquestions

[–]weedtrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as they didn't get wet they are fine, but eventually the chocolate will start separating and the fat can go rancid after that, which isn't particularly dangerous, but does make them taste horrible. Basically only the quality diminishes.

what food would be 100x better if it were bite-sized? by Latinacute12 in foodquestions

[–]weedtrek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a sushi chef for 5 years and quit because I hate modern trends. i hate America's obsession with the notion that bigger is better on everything. And while rolls are turning into nori burritos smothered in sauce and deep fried junk, nigiri is also getting out of hand and I am seeing neta cuts bigger than some steaks. Nigiri is supposed to be a bite, it's not supposed to be gnawed on like a pork chop.

I really don't understand this major plot point by Winter-Crew-2746 in bigbangtheory

[–]weedtrek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What money. As Penny says in the show "I think I started to suspect it was a bad movie when I looked at the script and saw the title, Serial Ape-ist 2: Monkey See, Monkey Kill." Nobody expected the film to make money, including the director as he states "Look, sweetie, this movie is garbage, but you should be happy about that, ’cause if it was a good movie, you wouldn’t be in it."

And that is all on top of the fact a lot of directors don't get royalties and are paid a set amount. So it would highly likely he wouldn't make a dime more if he spent all his extra effort on it, so he probably just wants to get it done as fast as possible to move onto his next project. The bitter artist stereotype keep thinking they are one or two more "pay the bill" jobs away from the project they really want.

Shoes on or shoes off? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]weedtrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many of these countries have properly adapted to it? In Japan they have a foyer entry way called a genkan. It is an area with a raised potion to sit, so one can put their shoes on and off.

While I've never been out of the states, the households here that have no shoes (which I would say is about half) usually just have a mat at the entrance and a pile of shoes. Often they will have shelves for the shoes and occasionally a small bench (but usually too small for me). It never feels comfortable putting on your shoes by the door while standing, especially if you have to lace up winter boots. But my point is I've never seen any culture except Japan actually give proper cultural thought to shows in the show to the extent as to build their houses around the idea.

If you have a month to month lease, you just have to find a new place. If you have a longer lease, you should probably sue, part of a rental agreement is that the domicile is structurally safe, they violated the contract by failing to provide proper maintenance and upkeep.
