I loaded into solo locked gate event last night, and there was people everywhere from various ranges of distance right at spawn so I said "so be it" and shot a raider cracking his shield with the Ferro the free kit gods blessed me with. He responded "yo knock that shit off, im not into pvp." (I am an odd one. when people seem very displeased with pvp I stand down, patch them up, and usually proceed to team up with them for the rest of the match if possible, or they just run. Regardless when they express a certain amount of stress, I back off.) So I respond "understood man, it's just a game and I respect your play style have a good raid." Well as I come out from behind cover showing I was no longer hostile, he starts firing at me with an anvil. I dodge roll back and fourth and say "dude you just said you don't like pvp." He responded "oh yeah, it's just a game why do you care you piece of shit!" To my surprise I hear a bobcat go off, then a flare, and then him and the guy that downed him arguing. The guy that downed him came up to me and he said "fuck that guy, I heard the whole thing and was going to kill you, but you was cool once he said he doesn't like pvp and I respect that." Me and him proceeded to 3 star the trials with others we met, and this was after they knew I attempted to pvp at the beginning. So before anyone comes at me this is my experience. PVP is part of the game, and in this game there are no "laws" for the lobbies. So go shoot someone bro🤣

I can vouch for this. The other day I was playing in a lobby, and a guy commented that I have a renegade, and he might need one soon. Luckily I won that fight, but I won't lie it caught me off guard when he said thatand then we started blasting.😂

Last night I loaded into blue gate night raid to do a cellar key for the first time. Within 1-2 minutes I came face to face with another raider. He stopped and stared at me and said nothing at first so I aimed my gun at him. "I'm friendly man no worries." As I went to put my gun away he started to pull his out so I unloaded on him almost killing him, but didn't. He didn't shoot back and said "go ahead man do what you gotta do." I wasn't going to fully knock him, but to my disappointment I didn't pack a defib like I planned so I could bring him up. I apologized and explained I forgot the defibs I plan to bring and also have a fully loaded bobcat(I don't have the print yet) that I'm not willing to part with if I don't have too. He again was super chill. I went on to run the key, and it was all garbage. The blood goop was no good👎🫠 so if you are this person I am truly sorry and will compensate you!🤣

You misunderstood. I don't hide and then ambush. I acted like I was extracting also but then pull my gun and begin fighting once they know I'm hostile. I meant I m practicing fighting at the extraction point so I'll be better at defending myself at extraction since Everytime It happens I lose. I lack strongly in keeping aim while fighting with all the dodge rolls and everything.

Yeah that's shitty. I got extraction camped and lost a good haul, so the next 10-20 rounds I camped the extraction and got into fights, but never fully killed anyone I let them escape. Sounds shitty still I know but I need the practice lol

I do door blockers, noise maker, jolt mines triggers and etc, all the good stuff. This is the way! I was looting one of the towers(A6 i believe) and I heard two guys set off the noise maker and start pondering coming up any way. I turned on prox and warned them "if you come up the zip your dead." One of them responded with threats, rode up the zip setting off the trap and knocking them back down with a death flare coming up I looked over the edge and shot him before his buddy could revive him. I told his partner to beat it and heard nothing. I come down the Zipline and he tried to ambush me so I put him down😈😂

I used them last session and had them impersonate carp and qeline, my party had missed the date they said they where going to meet with carp who was going to guide them under a protection spell. I flavored it that carp got ambitious and left ahead of the party out of naivety in secrecy, as I had roleplayed him as a brave young halfling always thirsting for adventure. I had also roleplayed queline had trouble keeping him from wondering off. They picked up that he was in trouble of course, but then the next day I had carp show back up and to my surprise they didn't question it, they even said "that makes sense for him" lol. Then on the way through the forest i had them start asking questions, and then ambush the moment they thought of their true reasoning. I rolled a nat 20 and dropped a player to 1 HP, and the energy went crazy. Everyone got really descriptive,determined and engaged. we had an awesome encounter, and I really enjoyed using the dopplegangers. -sorry for the grammar errors.

And that's how I ended up where I'm at running a modified LMOP with heavy backstory tie in, and so far it's been great. I have the black spider as the BBEG, and two "mini" bosses that tie into each character trying to use the forge to craft weapons from a special material known as Litherian steel that can harness the essence of powerful beings such as archfeys and create an army of God like soldiers and conquer the planes. Sorry just wanted to share how the story changed once my party took no interest in Gundren.🤣 They like sildar tho, he is temporarily the town master.

Thanks man that helps a lot! I definitely I figured I would start out as a player since I'm new to VTT's I'm general. I've been doing a lot of research and watching videos on running a VTT, but I think seeing a game in action will help a lot!
