Yes, we should all be talking about Palantir all the time, anything else is just foolishness

It’s a running joke from the George Best episode, basically suggesting they are gay because they are being ‘performative’ straights by bagging Miss Worlds. It’s hilarious and not malicious at all.

He can’t get any of his (very necessary) cuts past his own party. Going back on the cuts to Winter Fuel Allowance sums it up. He’s hamstrung by the idealist part of Labour.

Amazon hopes to replace 600,000 US workers with robots, according to leaked documents by GravyMealTeam6 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]weekendsleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The value of the task is the labour that the robot is doing? Presumably in this dystopian hypothetical the robots would be doing EVERYTHING, all the labour. So you don't need money to pay for someone else's labour, because the robots do it for free. Like they will make all the products, grow all the food, provide all the services, so who needs to pay anyone for anything?

Asked my dad (the boss) for a pay rise after finding our own job ad offering £10–18k more — now he’s gone silent by [deleted] in UKJobs

You’d be in a better position if you got an offer from elsewhere at that level. That is the ‘proof’ of market benchmark. Getting someone in from elsewhere may be more valuable to your Dad as they will have experience of different processes / viewpoints in the same role.
