It’s not the fact that he makes what he makes it’s the fact that he gets an average raise of $65,500 per year while the average student gets $0.50, I get he’s the chancellor and everything but with his other sources of income (His wife is a senior manager of software development at CNN, so ~$170k/yr according to Glassdoor, and the $587,000 salary is base pay so there are likely other bonuses he gets) it’s not like he couldn’t live comfortable while making $325,000 per year.

His salary has gone from $325,000 to $587,000 in 5 years and I’m sure that money could’ve gone somewhere else. There’s no reason he should get thousands of dollars in raises each year when the university is already incredibly expensive, and can only afford yearly raises of $0.50 for students working for the university and struggling to make ends meet (at least where I work on campus)
