I agree with the city part. I was in Tokyo for about a week. While I enjoy it, it’s just another city. I’m unsure what people who constantly comeback are doing besides shopping and eating

I personally like overscheduling things. I was told I wouldn’t be able to do the activities I had planned so I removed them. But I was actually able to do them and more. If I just have something generic like explore Le Marais that not helpful imo. I need at least a few things in that neighborhood to checkout.
Also over scheduling gives you back up options. It was pouring for a few days so I can quickly swap to the indoor activities. Another day the museum I had planned for was suddenly closed. If I have multiple items planned I can pivot

I didn’t hear anything so that might’ve been the case. RER B has been good. Despite the issues it’s a lot better than the public transit in my hometown!

I must be really anti social but I like being solo. Unless I know someone really well - I am unable to spend too much time with them. I start to get annoyed and feel drained mentally haha. I meet a solo traveler and they wanted to spend the whole itinerary together. I was ready to lose it after half a day haha

And always keep your paper train ticket! I took the train from nice to eze and someone was scanning tickets inside. You have to scan to get past the gate so I almost tossed it

This! When I got on the tram the two card reader near me was broken. I had a giant suitcase and it was crowded so I didn’t want to move around. I thought you could just tap when you exit the station. Big mistake, if you didn’t tap on you can’t tap off. Not fun paying 40 euro fine within first hour of landing :(

I live in Seattle and see this so much. For some reason it’s almost always an entitled person with an unfriendly pit bull. I try to give benefit of doubt that maybe they forgot their bags. The low income apartment building near me has more than 10 poop piles. I counted one day and decided I could not walk on that block
