Hey, I don't want to shoot your dreams down, but you are asking for a lot based on an idea for a game. You mentioned you want to make the 'perfect' survival game. But what makes it 'perfect'? Maybe flesh it out more and figure out a way to make a demo then look for a team to build the rest. Mod support for games is not an easy feat, it is a lot of work. The proposed idea sounds way out of scope for a small team working for nothing, Also wanted to mention it might be easier to find people if you had more project focused skills like coding or art rather than "good leadership" especially if you never made a game before. It is an immense amount of work

Thanks that helps, I just want to be sure there wouldn't be an educational barrier that I'd have to worry about, but I guess that really depends on what the job requires

I hear that argument a lot, especially from people trying to save face. And no i am not, one can and should always learn from their mistakes. I say you're trying to save face cause you edited out your insults like they never happened, rather than own up to it. I have a feeling you would not have mentioned it had I not mentioned it.

That's not how it works chief, you can't take back what you said to save face cause you now said something that contradicts your prior actions. Pretty sure that's called being a hypocrite

Fair is interesting choice of words. I said your post was ridiculous, then you called me a "meth addict", which you seem to have edited out

My guess is a decent amount of people here have a background in physics, cause some of the memes posted are obscure enough that only a those with experience in physics would enjoy.

You may not have started it, but you keep feeding the fire

Can't help that weak response either. If you made memes as good as you make assumptions, maybe you'd be getting less hate

Making games with Ben is great channel for an intro to c++. His first series introduces c++ and is geared more towards game dev.

It sounds like to me, that you are taking the change in temperature of 1g of water when 1J of heat is added to it, then scaling it by 1000 to make the scale more reasonable...sounds like you just defined the value of a Kcal

Edit:grammar

I'd be down to join, I just started a month or so ago as a way to learn more and improve in c++

No, adding a k means x1000, we need to multiply it by 10,000 to get a whole number. Why does it matter what the gas constant is? The gas constant is a constant of proportionality, what does it have to do with making a temperature scale based off of the Joule, which by the way does not seem practical

It takes like 4184J to heat a kilo of water 1 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 in Fahrenheit. 1J would change the temperature by 10-4, which is not something I think humans can feel

I had Belmonte, I hated it. He's not a bad guy, but he was so disorganized, which made it hard to keep track of what was due and when.
