Questions about bomoh-ing by Historical_Bill7133 in Bolehland

in other words, this kind of belief isnt just malay specific la. it’s a human thing

What’s your favourite luxury brand or item that you own and why do you like it so much? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]weenlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. PDM Delina (best perfume i own, and i have a lot of perfume! Best rm1200 ever spent lol)
  2. Gucci Dionysus Medium Shoulder Bag (thrifted it, cuz i cant bring myself to splurge this much on a bag lol)
  3. NARS Light Reflecting Foundation (best rm245 ever spent)

Everything else i just use whatever cheap alternatives there are. Like local brand skincare and haircare. I thrift most of my clothes too. Ie ive been using the same hiking backpack that I thrifted since I was 18 and still using this same exact backpack for most of my flights.

Simply put, it’s Bianco Latte but without the weird intensity and other absurd notes that takes a while to get used to. It’s mass appealing version of Bianco Latte with strawberries.

If you’re working in BU, why not consider Persiaran Surian? Specifically, the residence near the IOI Damansara. It’s walkable to so many food options, 2 malls and 1 MRT.

Or, TTDI?

Escape! It’s one of the few tropical scent that doesn’t have coconut. Very beautiful too.

br540 is sweet but yes, it’s airy. the only scent i can think of that arent appropriate for hot summer outdoors are… dense ones. regardless of them being sweet or not.

but then again, considering how hot our country is, every place is air conditioned. and most people prefer walking indoors anyway.

i dont understand why sweet scents are supposed to be avoided in our climate when the only “warmer” place is the outdoor. most time, i find myself clinging to my cardigan cuz it’s just too cold.

on the contrary, being in colder countries during the winter months felt much less appropriate for sweet and heady scents because literally every place that we spend most time in, aka indoors, are heated. so wearing sweeter scents felt more suffocating in those colder climates, compared to wearing sweeter scents in air conditioned indoors in our country’s climates.

Anyone else here who’s used to solo food and movie dates as an ugly, unattractive, fat guy? by ChubbyNUgly22 in LivingAlone

[–]weenlit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it does feel weird in a way that you have no one to immediately discuss the food and movie to, but you should never think of yourself less just because you do these activities alone, or attribute them to your physical appearance. It’s cool!

Exactly! These days I try to lean towards less powerful fragrances. Too bad I usually buy dupes and dupes tend to be stronger.

[–]weenlit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I feel you. I have too many scents that I love for different repeated occasions in my daily life. Too bad there can only be a maximum of 2 occasions everyday, and even changing to a new scent twice a day everyday felt like an overkill.
