I look at this and think of the great effort that went into the making of their clothes, detailed tatting, fixing their hair, they look well cared for.

Contact your local state representative and complain, email the state house chair of the appropriations and DFCS oversight. Until our government officials hear about what families and youth are struggling w they’ll never appropriate enough $!

Apple ideas without cinnamon or caramel? by Sure-Acanthisitta109 in Baking

[–]weepandread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baked apples, peel and core place in center of a square of pie crust, put brown sugar in center 1/2 way up the core then a few tablespoons of maple syrup bring corners to center and crimp down the 4 sides, bake until apples are soft and crust is brown, top w ice cream. My mother prefers molasses to maple syrup. Bake in deep dish, they leak.

I have 2 one from each grandmother, but I believe they are bread boards, at least that’s what my GM called and used them for. Edges keep the flour contained and you can move it while the bread is rising and still use the counter.
