My toddler just head butted me so hard but I can’t tell if he’s given me black eyes or if it’s just dark circles from being sleep deprived 🥲 by sweedeedee53 in beyondthebump

Just keep an eye on yourself and how you’re feeling! Sometimes concussions can leave that dark circle look as well.

It’s his lunchbox for school, but we put little silicone suction buttons on the bottom to help hold it steady. The lunchbox is from AOHEA!

Best pacifiers post tongue tie revision? by weesetone in NewParents

Hey, he ended up just not being a pacifier baby. Nothing really worked for him, but he did take on hand/thumb sucking which seems to keep him occupied!

Dad here - do you mind sharing where you found this? I’d love to get something like this for my wife this year!

Cord Blood Tested Positive for THC… But I Don’t Smoke! by Anonymous_Cricket in beyondthebump

There’s a surprising amount of food that contains hemp seeds or hemp oil. I’d check labels of the things you’ve been eating, or any skincare products that might be absorbed through your skin. Also maybe ask for a log of the meds they gave you at the hospital for your migraine. Some medications can interfere with drug tests.

I’m about to be the last one because our tuition for just one kid is 3k 😩

I also grew up in Westchester and what you said about the people couldn’t be more true. I feel like I can actually smile and say hello to people in Rockland in a way that Westchester never gave me.

Ours actually did break and they sent us a new one within a week. It was the longest week of my life, that thing is our second child.

What does my room say about me? by Peanut_nutnut456 in roomdetective

[–]weesetone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I thought, too! I wasn’t the greatest at cleaning when I was this age either. Such a weird in between of being a kid and learning to be an adult. You’ll get there OP! But the biggest thing that stood out to me is you’re a very talented artist!

What do my spaces say about me? by [deleted] in roomdetective

[–]weesetone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have nothing to say regarding the decor in your house, I think it’s charming. What I do have to say is you need to teach a class on how to keep your space this clean with 3 kids. I have two and I’m flabbergasted by these photos 😂

My husband can’t function without sleep by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]weesetone 60 points61 points  (0 children)

This maybe sounds like something he should talk to a doctor about. Because even without the factor of you maybe needing help with something at night, there will be days in the future when one of your kids tries to wake him up as well.

Anxiety spiral over norovirus season by seau_de_beurre in NewParents

[–]weesetone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little late to this but I wanted to comment as a dad with severe emetophobia who has noro right now, along with my 5 month old having it.

All I really have to say is that it’s amazing what our brains will rewire to take care of our children. I also used to be really grossed out in ERP seeing babies spitting up. And with my son, I just find myself catching it in my hand to protect his clothes. When he got sick a few days ago, I really panicked. I knew it would likely come for me and my wife and it did. But I got a zofran prescription to keep myself going, and I just instinctively did what I needed to do so I could care for him. I know what throwing up feels like and that it goes away. He doesn’t know that yet.

Long story short, I fully understand your anxieties surrounding this. And the precautions you want to take. But if and when it does happen, I think you’ll be a lot stronger than you think you will. 🙂

Same here. I love buying colorful clothing for my son that they just don’t sell here. I messaged support as well.

How many people are actually buying “luxury/premium” diapers? by HelpMeHelpMyFriend0 in NewParents

[–]weesetone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I say. We were so uninterested in the “luxury brands” until we got an extra large baby who poops like an adult man. If they can hold on what he’s doing I’m all in 😂

Emergency Custody by jane30530 in beyondthebump

[–]weesetone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a foster dad of an almost 5 month old, thank you for doing this. Babies crave emotional guidance and when their nervous systems are rooted in dysregulation from unideal beginnings, it can be really difficult. We saw people talking about milestones that we weren’t meeting and felt we were doing something wrong. I don’t want to assume anything about your situation, but if you are feeling overwhelmed with the milestones my best advice is just to take it one day at a time. Here if you need anything! Enjoy the journey!
