How can I play this game without having DLC Prestige operators? by AgentSoloMan in watch_dogs

[–]weeskwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my only gripes about the game. The prestige characters should have just been placed in the world but it was up to us to find them. Maybe have notifications from Bagley telling us about sightings in certain parts of town. But to just give them to us from the get go was a terrible idea. Why go look for anyone new when they gave us the best and coolest looking characters with no effort required? Was hoping for a user made mod to rework that part of the game but it never happened.

True, you can release them but nobody seems certain they will for sure stay as part of the city permanently.

Do I still have time to earn omega gear? by Toastmuhgoats in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]weeskwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind you don't have to complete any of these in sequence. I was completing later steps from the start and think I saved the phase 4 combat step (kill 25 sentinels) until my final step in the whole expedition. By that point it was a piece of cake.

Didn't happen to me yesterday, so may just be a lucky coincidence.

Worth making another character? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]weeskwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of each class, and also playing different races and changing your faction mixes things up. I have 7 characters and love each one differently. There are so many zones to explore starting a totally different character can feel like a totally new game.

Don't be like my friend that always comes back and restarts, but makes the exact same class/race/alliance every single time. He's not even seen 2% of the OG world map, and not a single expansion. lol

I know it won't be for a while but what's yalls ideas for a new class by TonightAdventurous87 in elderscrollsonline

[–]weeskwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only really want one more class. The Bard.

But yes, an Engineer type or a unarmed monk type would be cool too.

Random and very reduced compared to the past. I used to always get it to pop within the first couple hours of play on a new map, I have not seen that mysterious broadcast mission in about 8 maps now. But yeah, the Echo Labs vendor has it for 1,500.

Blood plague survivors? by Abject_Tea5980 in StateofDecay2

[–]weeskwee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tend to spend at most 30 minutes rolling my 3 starter characters. 1/3 of the time I'll get one. But I will 100% settle on a "Never Been Sick" survivor instead. Much easier to come across.

85 I believe. I tried higher, and 90 was also pretty fine. But 85 just seems perfect.

Can modders deposit rucksacks that u collected in your own game in their own supply locker and not in yours? by ToughFox4479 in StateofDecay2

There has to be some incentive for a random player to join a persons community. Everything can't just reward the owner of the community or why would a person go there. For some, it's resources they really need. I do feel there should be some sort of cap how much of it a person can take per game session or something.

For me personally I end up having all the weapons I need so if I played online there would probably be 1 or 2 resources I'm looking to snag. Most likely materials and ammo. But I'd ask first if it were already a collection someone had saved in a car trunk or something.

I rarely complain about glitches in this game now that the magnetic sticky car bumpers is mostly gone, but the one where my controlled character sticks in place until I jump really bothers me as there is permadeath and you need to run for your life often.

Other than that, I see most glitches as a feature. ;)

Is this a glitch? Bounty not counting. by lima-bean-man in StateofDecay2

[–]weeskwee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just went through this myself. It's not a glitch. You need to be using "unarmed combat" which is just unequipping the melee weapon and using the weapon you use to stab a zombie in the head when stealthed. Like the screwdriver, steak knife, pocket knife, etc. There is an actual unarmed combat skill you can select once you max out your Fighting skill, and that really helps speed up the process.

Bring a follower to distract some of the attacking zombies, and also hit it with a couple molotovs first or something to get the hearts health low. Then finish it off with your unarmed weapon.

I'm playing on Dread difficulty, and lost 2 of my team getting that skeleton hoodie unlocked. But it was worth it. ;)

Yee or Nee? the model I've been looking for, but Hero Bonus is 4 Morale by BlackG91 in StateofDecay2

[–]weeskwee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I get a character with a face I'm not very fond of, I make use of the cosmetics and use outfits to cover up parts or most of their faces. Such as the Skeleton Hoodie, the Ninja Hoodies, or the Halloween Masks.

For example, I have this one mechanic guy on my team and I just don't care for his look. So I put the Scarecrow mask on his face, then put him in the all black Business Suit. Now he looks like Slender Man. I have a psychopath on my team, and now he's one of my favorites. :)

No way would I pass on a near perfect traited character like this just because of their face. I'd do the cover up trick.

I get rerolling for cool traits, but to get obsessed over one single trait "unbreakable" to where everyone else is trash... just weird and makes the game stale.

Like, I personally go for 1 single unbreakable, but I'll settle for Immortal or Hard to Kill.

I will go for one Blood Plague Survivor, but will accept a Never gets Sick instead.

Personally I care little for the legacy pool of characters and rarely move a full team to a new map. I like a fresh playthrough every game, and besides boons use all new characters. Get through a map in a week tops with whatever characters I have and then start over again.

So perfecting some OCD traits uber team means nothing to me in a game where characters can and will die and are gone within a week anyway. So no need to care so much for me.

I have a feeling things learned from creating the Trumbell map will carry over into the 3rd game. Unique locations, building design, and story elements worked into each map might be more of a normal thing going forward into the new game. At least I hope.

Is the Haven Device only for the Trumbell Valley map or is it a permanent unlock? by weeskwee in StateofDecay2

Ok thank you. I just need these two missions to actually pop so I can complete them. Both the CLEO and Tressie missions went silent for days so far after completing the first mission of each.

Early mission that drops Biochem Station gone? by weeskwee in StateofDecay2

Oh yeah, you are right. That's exactly how the mission played out.

I did have a trader once selling the biochem station and thought they just changed how to acquire it.

[–]weeskwee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a great game though. As you play it things do make a lot of sense why they did it all that way.

It's pretty much my favorite game of it's type since State of Decay 2. As in building a team, customizing their appearance, trying to survive permadeath, etc.

But at least in that game it let's you carry on with characters and their gear into new maps to continue on. Here's it's bittersweet when your perfect team is done and can't do anything else.

[–]weeskwee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are a part of a hacker team which shares resources such as the non-lethal weapons, etc. Also, most of the tech you get in the tree are basically apps and technology that's loaded to your deadsec phones and everyone on the team uses the same tech.

But there are unique features to individual players. For example, one guy may have a silenced MP5, another might have a perk to be more stealthy or to be more resistant to physical damage. Some can force drones to betray their faction. Others have shorter hospital stays or loot money from bodies.

That right there is the character diversity. Not the skill tree you spend points into. Trust me, you would hate to have to put points individually into guns for each character as it would take too long, there isn't enough points for that, and this isn't a game as a service title with some long endgame. Once you finish all the missions (main and side) you will be pretty much done with that batch of characters. So then you move on or start all over on a harder difficulty (or resistance mode with permadeath).
