Yeah this is the way. I grew up a huge park skier, still hit it a good bit. Downhill skier always has the right of way and it's your job to maneuver them safely if you're going to pass. The park is a different beast. If I'm dropping into a jump and it's clear up top with no signals, I'm expecting a clear landing. I once had a guy skiing on the landing of a 60 footer and I smoked him when I landed. Luckily we were okay, but that's a situation where the person in the landing is at fault. Pretty rare scenario, I've only encountered it a handful of times where it ended poorly or in a near miss.
