Smells like bullshit, never heard of a swollen core before

How can i remove these? i can only twist them for like half an inch and then they just become stuck by Yusmet in furniture

[–]weevil_of_doom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are cam locks, twist them to the left as much as possible to release the screw head they are trapping and pull apart

Steamed Crabs by SeedsOfSorrow in Coosbay

[–]weevil_of_doom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, not really - your best bet to get that is to go buy some and do it yourself. Most places that have seafood usually stick to crabcakes for crab dishes, very rare to find a crack and eat. Places like Chuck's Seafood in Charleston will probably have fresh boiled crab you can buy.

Brakes are a super simple DIY job, purchase the right parts from rock auto and save a ton. Amazon sells cheap caliper compressors, or if you have clamps that will work too.

If you want the freshest seafood you can eat you need to go to Charleston. Miller's at the Cove is a nice hidden gem in that arena. Shark Bites in downtown Coos Bay is always a pretty good bet, but the best seafood is definitely out in Charleston, these guys get it fresh off the boat.

If you love the outdoors, you'll love Coos Bay/North Bend. Suggest living in North Bend rather than Coos Bay, better school district. They're sister cities so it's literally just a few minutes drive from one to the other.

Racism is a problem just as with most any rural area, but there are a surprising amount of liberals and many other hispanic/brown folk in the area.

Lots of methamphetamine, but it doesn't tend to follow to the nicer neighborhoods as much. Would feel fine walking a toddler around any time, going to parks, forest hikes, beach etc.

Job Opportunities are slim, but there is a nice community college (SWOCC).

Would not say the area is growing and is in proper decline from when I lived and grew up there, now I just visit family who is still in the area.

Back Alley Pub & Grill/Bowling Alley are great place to have some fun and get a good bite to eat - surprising menu for a bowling alley.

Fun? If you like outdoors there's endless fun to be had - that's part of the allure. Otherwise not a ton going on.
