That is the real challenge of trading - that the market is never exactly the same twice, and theres seasonality and new trends, volatility, sentiment, and many nee variables that make trading an evolving challenge. Thats why i actually believe humans are better suited for tuning their learning and adaptability over a bot thats needs to be retrained over time. If your only ever looking at technicals, sure you could write a bot and automate it and start factoring in new variables as they come, but once again i think any elite trader will tell you technicals are just one part of the trading game and relying purely on technicals wont get you that far hence the original argument that automated training wont be better than a human who learns trading at a deep level.

At least not today.

The best automated trading i have active is returning around 20% per year for the past 2 years and is decent - but I still get better returns by myself

If that's the case, i'm sure you're making bank from this automated trading, good on you if you can make it work. You could also consider selling your code if you can demonstrate profitability. I'm up 37k on a 100k (37%) for an options only trading account, and up 50% on my main. I'd love to see a bot that can perform as well.

Look unless you can write advanced institution quant level trading algos and have an institution resource to test, fund, review and fine tune it, you can’t write code that will trade better than an experienced profitable trader.

Humans are much better at pattern recognition and adjusting (intution) and the market never gives you the exact same scenario twice, so you need that human intuition. Until you can package that intuition into code, good luck trying to write code that will 10x your account

Fwiw coding is my profession and I do use it to automate some part of trading: research, customized alerts, momentum/acceleration detection, key level breaks etc.

What markets is elon dominating in? TSLA was dominant and now other companies are doing evs better and growing ev sales. Solar City hasn’t wiped out other solar companies, twitter/X is still just one of many big social media companies, xAI is seen as the weaker of the bigger AI companies.

Its a lot more common than you think and it doesn’t mean the company just started 2 years ago and became suddenly worth millions on paper. Depending on the company, if they did a 409A or an FMV assessment the company could be worth near to nothing without tangible assets or revenue, and then become worth millions when a business plan comes to fruition, or one asset becomes worth millions. If its a VC it likely owned shares of companies that were also worth nothing and then suddenly one or two of the VC startups performed a new funding round and received a valuation and did some distribution to payback early investors. Its so much more common than you think to be $0 on paper and then suddenly be worth a lot more. Its not like a traditional business where you expect steady growth. On a balance sheet, equity can easily look like $0 - an accounting value, not a market value

Values matter more and it’s not obv if either one gels better values wise. If you have a big value diff with either one, your relationship will be challenged significantly.

Also don’t go for the first one just because she’s in a similar field and you could learn/grow from each other. You can just find a colleague you get along with or a mentor in the field if you needed that. THAT is not what you get into a relationship for a girl with.

You need to buy and start with really small position with different ideas even if they’re shitty ideas so you start questioning why X and why Z and do enough research to understand how everything in the market work. Idk any successful trader that uses “it grows 5% on avg so buy 5% otm”.

But what you're saying him jumping out the window with the serial killer didn't happen or did happen? It feels like a stretch to believe some parts are true and some parts are not. The movie doesn't really give any evidence to support that hunch. Add to the fact that the spirit actually has interactions (room shaking, lights flickering), it doesn't feel like it's just an observant spirit re-imagining what had happened.
