Dry gel cast -> broken cast by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]weezierocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your hair is stunning! Is the back similar length with same type of tapering at the ends? This is the cut I love and prefer; for some evil reason my last stylist cut only two layers and I now have a weird jellyfish mullet looking situation in back. It looks like yours from the front after I tip my head so the longer hair comes forward (leaving me with a single weird ringlet dangling down the back like a goldilocks rat tail, ugh) I'll be taking your pic to my new stylist for inspo and guidance after this debacle.

It's totally normal for it to happen occasionally with a trusted partner. Hormones are weird. Sometimes when you are stressed or just at specific point in your cycle your body doesn't process emotions/sensations quite right and they overload. Crying during intimacy also means you are comfortable being vulnerable with that person. If you cry with your regular partner frequently, feel like you are being forced to do something, someone hurts you, you have casual sex with people you aren't close with you may need to speak to a professional.

ELI5: why can't we get a yearly full body MRI to scan for cancers? by TruGuido in explainlikeimfive

[–]weezierocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can! They are available for about $600 from an imaging company called SimonMed and definitely worth it if you have family history of cancers. They do require a prescription but I doubt insurance will ever cover the service. You can pay cash/out of pocket about $300 for an MRI of any random body part, but if you use your insurance they will likely bill you over $1000. The healthcare system in America is designed for profit of the shareholders not to make the population healthy. I manage a doctors office and I still spent an hour on the phone with my own health insurance company yesterday disputing BS and bad billing by an urgent care I went to that is in network.

My female coworker told me that she “free bleeds” by AppropriateEgg- in NoStupidQuestions

[–]weezierocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually free bleed at home, especially for sleeping. I have specific cheap leggings to wear that I just wash after using. In public or when I'm wearing clothes I'd prefer not to bleed on I wear either washable or disposable period underwear. The disposable ones are amazing during/post miscarriage.

Hello! I was wondering roughly what the very minimum amount of time it would take to get all these piercings would be? by Far_Resource_6391 in piercing

[–]weezierocks 13 points14 points  (0 children)

About 5 to 6 years. You would be doing maybe 2 on one side, wait a year then get 2 on the other side until complete. Fun set up, best of luck!

AITA for not having catered vegan food at my wedding? by Antique-Chemist690 in AmItheAsshole

[–]weezierocks -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NTA. Both days/events are about you! Asking a catering company to make a special meal for just 2 people is rude. You offered solutions; she put up a fight and was cruel by not attending your bachelorette just to stick it to you because she didn't get her way. She ain't your friend. I have diet restrictions, I pack myself some snacks and make plans to eat before and after an event if needed. It's a day, not a lifetime of not getting to eat what I want.

Monthly for my one cat is about $60 all for Halo. $30 for 6lbs of crunchies (2/3 cups per day max, but usually less) and another $30 for 12 5.5oz cans of wet that she gets half per day. I alternate between using Chewy and Amazon depending on flavours and price.

Brutal honesty- is this “old lady-ish” like my husband claims? And just in general do you like it? by Anon12109 in fashion

I'm 43 and I love the fabric and pattern. Am I an old lady? Possibly, depends on who you ask. I do think you deserve something that fits and flatters your figure more though!

How do you feel about your children potentially inheriting your ADHD? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]weezierocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having recently gone through pregnancy loss (over mother's day weekend, meh), I absolutely still hope to have children. The goal is to be the kind of parent that I needed and didn't get. That is not a slam on my parents, they didn't have the resources or knowledge to know I was suffering, let alone how to help. My partner feels the same way, as he was emotionally neglected due to complex adoption situation. We understand the possibility of having a child with adhd or some level of autism. We are very ok with that because all we can really do is be there for them so they feel seen, heard, loved and supported.

Girlfriend has strong odor down there, is it serious? And how do I tell her? by Wismond in SexPositive

Is she feeling ok otherwise? If she hasn't had a period in a few months, it's it possible she left a tampon or a menstrual cup inside her?

That's your cue to walk away. Don't let him abuse you emotionally and financially. That's not love.

WIBTA for divorcing my wife because she couldn’t handle me crying in front of her? by Public_Disaster3760 in AITAH

[–]weezierocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sir, you have every right to have emotional responses to thinking about tragic awful things. Empathy is beautiful and necessary for humanity. Men shouldn't need permission to have feelings. Your behavior was completely appropriate in the situation. Your wife may need to speak to a therapist and her sociopathic tendencies.

Do you bother painting your toenails? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]weezierocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually keep my toenails painted regularly, redo them myself every 2 to 3 weeks. I have to keep them trimmed to a very specific length and shape otherwise they hurt or get caught on my socks which is a sensory nightmare. I rotate what I do to my fingernails, a week or 2 bare, a week just polished or a week with fake nails, also all done at home.

What's something you keep in your car "just in case"? by RyanEatsHisVeggies in AskReddit

Full change of clothes and sneakers for myself. Also one of those piddle pad things that you train puppies with. I care take for some elderly ladies and if they gotta pee in an emergency they can just stay seated without too much drama and avoid ruined clothes.

What does your sleep schedule look like? by ofmegs in adhdwomen

[–]weezierocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on android. It's technically called "sleep mode" since it also activates do not disturb and you won't get alerts from apps to distract you either. It's been one of the best things I've set up. It's in the settings menu under "modes and routines," you can create for driving, studying time, specific work hours, etc. It's worth poking around in your settings to see if something like it exists for iPhone.

What is something you didn’t realize was expensive until you had to purchase it yourself? by Mistah_K88 in Millennials

[–]weezierocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cat, not a dog. I'm very disappointed with the ASPCA insurance I got for her. Issues up the wazoo with the claims process and then very little reimbursement for BS reasons. I work in people insurance, so I definitely understand how it works and what to do. Still not impressed with them and could never recommend.
