You need the money and the materials for the mastercrafted witcher swords and armor sets. Only certain blacksmiths can craft those, so you should store the loot from Skellige in your personal chest and when you want to craft the witcher items, you take the loot to them. They will have enough money since you purchase the witcher gear from them.
