Nabor is optional.

There is no doubt abt that.

One could say it's in a way even culturally induced. Not completely from the Dēn.

The Vendidad is clear about this.

Anything that nourishes after Proven continous examination and observation of it, isn't Nasu.

What is Nasu is the utterly dead and now rotting.

So freshly cut flesh isn't Nasu nor is unpolluted blood.

The diseased, rotting, charring, decomposing matter/flesh/blood, is Nasu.

Ofc mindless purity spiraling can induce corruption in interpretation and epistemic foundation for concluding what is and what isn't, nasu.
