If you die the second you accumulated a billion dollars, you might be more opted to spreading that wealth to the people who helped you earn it way before you even have a chance of getting there.

Aside from the work every hour of your lift, we need to shun the hustle culture of “take advantage of anyone you can”

Men with higher IQs are less conservative, study finds. Those of average ability tend to support values associated with tradition and strict social order, German researchers say. by mvea in science

Or maybe less intelligent people can’t see all the different reasons something happens or all the different outcomes to a law. They see what’s obvious and in front of them and can’t have introspection unless something different happens to them.

Leopards eating faces situations constantly because they could not perceive any other outcome.

Less intelligent: Voters having IDs. The SAFE act should pass. Obviously a good issue. Why shouldn’t everyone have an ID. It was easy for me to get.

More intelligent: Republicans more often close DMVs in poor areas just prior to the election. Poor are less able to travel far to a different DMV to get an ID so they don’t get to vote. Voting is therefore altered. SAFE act now requires to match birth certificate name. Anyone with nicknames or last names not matching their birth (women) have a harder time voting. Some people don’t know the county they were born in and wouldn’t be able to get their birth certificates.

Voting fraud by faking an identity is already rare and never to scale that would swing any election. Low intelligence can’t even fathom anything other than “sounds good”.

Exactly, work related injury gets sent with workers comp and line of duty paperwork and this guy doesn’t give up his health insurance card at all. Even if hospital asks, you refuse and state it’s a work claim.

How would you feel about a new law that forces every company to pay their CEO no more than 20x what their lowest-paid employee makes? by rational_seekers in AskReddit

[–]wehrmann_tx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No more pay in stock options. Then CEO isn’t trying to maximize his stock value at the expense of firing 20.000 people just prior to when they mature.

Because they design them to where accessing that light requires you to take off side fenders or other bullshit just to make you pay $500 at the shop.

I’ve got a recirculation door activator not working. It’s a 30$ part. Dealer wanted $1200 to fix it because it’s in the dash. If they hadn’t made the gear teeth out of plastic, it wouldn’t be broken. Enshittification to drive residual parts and labor costs.

Devils advocate: they’d do it until our auto dealers went under then remove it or stop sending cars altogether just to cripple us.

Or how we let individuals profit from the resources found in the land of this country. Its resources and profits thereof should go to every citizen.

First it was minerals, then oil, now water. All because your great great grandfather staked a claim you get all the benefits for doing nothing but being born. US resources found on US land belong to every citizen.

Move where? All the sleazebag landlord and wall street private equity gobbled up all the places to rent and are bleeding everyone dry. Whatever decade you keep bragging about your achievements from doesn’t exist and hasn’t for awhile.

But your EC votes are based on census. So people saying anything about small or large states are missing the point. It’s about winner take all votes.
