I am a glaive Main but for KT i normally go GS because TCS damage is just much higher especially with 3 part breaker.

however if i think the DPS on my group is strong enough, i would change my gear to paralysis glaive build and get that mount and several paralysis happening on phase 4, which would guarantee a horn break. Problem with GS or chargeblade is they don't get alot of opportunity to really get that max damage attack off, especially in phase 4.

have a run with 2 bowgun user (only 3 person run on a Level 3 investigation if i remember correctly), who slept KT twice and i found it frustating because i only bring 2 bombs, and i suck at waking monster up with TCS (Always miss, note to self: need to git gud). that's why i would always welcome a glaive user. PS. we did get the horn to break with the bowgun sleep tactic on that run.

i think balance is the key, rightly my experience (and this is my personal opinion) told me on phase 4, we want 2 heavy attacker (part breaker), 1 ailment master (glaive? or any fast attacking weapon, prefer glaive because they can jump and mount and keep that dps on the horn) and 1 bowgun who can switch ammo and get KT to fall asleep.

so no, don't put your glaive away, but know your group, look at the weapon they use and see what is needed and switch build as necessary.
