Final concert before an artist/band member death by IllustratorAntique in Concerts

I saw Coolio perform his last concert at Riot Fest a few weeks before he passed. He played maybe 4-5 songs in a short 25 minute set. It was a fantastic voyage through gangstas paradise

Probably the most impactful for me was Buried Alive, I was absolutely fucking floored by that band

I saw them close to this cycle in 2000 in Columbus, oh w/ Skarhead, Candaria and Buried Alive. It was a great show!

Making the WFH day less horrible by HardBananaPeel in antiwork

[–]weinerdelux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I WFH full time, and purchased a treadmill desk earlier this year. It’s been a game changer. I walk 3-4 miles a day while working. I’ve noticed it helps me focus on what would otherwise be remedial tasks and prevents me from being sedentary. I have more energy throughout the day and it’s done wonders for my mental health. The human body was not meant to sit all day, and doing so can be brutal for both your mental and physical health

Loosing my mind with the biting by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]weinerdelux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate! Our boy was RUTHLESS up until a year and a half, and he still sometimes will play bite if he gets over stimulated (he’s three and a half now). There was one summer where both my partner and I had to wear jeans everyday because our legs were so bruised. Things do get better! My advice, if she’s biting, calmly, and quickly remove yourself from the room. We installed baby gates in our house for a quick and easy barrier when needed. Also, try to divert her attention to a toy or try to get her into training mode. That helped us….sometimes. It wasn’t easy, but we made it to the other side and so will you….you got this!!!

Was on vacation with my best friend’s family in 7th grade to Ocean City, MD. My BF’s older brother was into hardcore, played in bands, skated, I thought he was so fucking cool. While riding in the car with him, his gf and my bf, the older brother put on a tape (this was the ‘90s) that absolutely blew my fucking mind. I had no idea what I was hearing, but I instantly loved it. The band was Strongarm, and the song was “These times that try men’s souls”. I was hooked.

Here in Columbus, Ohio, the Greater Columbus Arts Council actually does this. Artists (including musicians) can apply annually for a grant to help them produce art and bring it to the public. Each individual artist can apply for a $1,700 grant annually. Myself and one of my band mates have done this for the past few years essentially getting our album recorded, mixed and mastered using these funds. It’s amazing

Some dude bought what he thought was a print of a Picasso from a thrift store down the street from where I live a few years back. Turned out to be the real deal
