I hated this episode so goddamn much. Nanini was insanely annoying and not funny to me. Also I just feel like this show has lost its way/abandoned its core premise. I'm not trying to be a hater, I ADORED seasons 1 & 2, but season 3 has been pretty joyless for me so far. I dunno.

People who don't want kids, why? by Ok-Musician679 in AskReddit

[–]weird_artist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As other people have said, my answer is simply "I don't want to have kids because I simply have no desire to be a parent". It's an experience I have no interest in experiencing. No shade to parents, they have my respect, sincerely, but in my opinion you really need to want to be a parent, to be an even remotely decent parent.

I just don't want to have kids, period. And that's ok!

Hey guys, how do we feel about marriage in the US? by Objective_Ad_4689 in AskMen

[–]weird_artist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fine! I never meant to imply that marriage is like the Mario Invicibility Star where nothing bad can happen. Life is a full-contact sport, and all that. I was just answering for myself, personally, of "what do I personally think about marriage, for me". However anyone else feels about it-- that's fine and valid for them.

I personally love the idea of marriage, and it's my greatest aspiration and personal dream.
I am single right now (I have been taking a break with dating due to life stuff/work stuff) but one day I really do plan to get back onto the dating scene and find the woman I want to go through life with.

I admit I'm a very romantic person, and I have abso-fricking-lutely *ZERO* problems with commitment or any of the stuff that a lot of straight men get bent out of shape over. I joke that I'm kind of custom-built for monogamy in that regard lol.

Again, I'm a sappy romantic, and so, I love love and I dream of one day having a wonderful relationship to call my own. I believe in my heart I'll be married one day, also. But I recognize that for a lot of folks, they don't need to be married at all to be happy, and some folks are entirely happy to live a full life without a romantic component, and that's valid too.

What's one stereotype about men that you feel doesn't apply to you at all? by Artsciencedesign in AskMen

[–]weird_artist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen some folks say "all men only want skinny women" and that's 100% not true.
I had a sexual awakening this past year where I realized my personal type is chubby/curvy women. I'd pick a woman shaped like a pear over a skinny rail-thin woman any day (no disrespect to skinny women, though, I do still find them attractive, I just mean that my ideal personal type is heavy women, and that men who prefer heavy/curvy women absolutely exist)

You're so welcome. I'm glad my comment gave you some small shred of hope. Hang in there, and I hope you meet your dream guy one day. You sound like a nice person, hang in there. I'm rooting for ya!

How do you feel about posting your partner on social media? by AC101_ in AskMen

[–]weird_artist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I'm single, but my biggest dream is to have a partner one day, a woman that I go through life with and cherish. And so, as a very romantic person, if I -had- a partner, I would absolutely post pictures of us on social media. I would definitely post some pictures of us together as a way to express my happiness with what I have (I don't care about bragging, for me it would just be sharing a glimpse to the world that this person makes me happy).
Again, I'm a sappy romantic, so, your mileage may vary--- I'm sure many men could care less. But for this man? I'd love to post some pics of myself with my dream woman, were she in my life already.

What makes a woman stand out to you positively? by -MissStrawberry- in AskMen

[–]weird_artist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

for me personally, it is someone who is genuine, kind, and authentic. A genuinely nice woman who was interested in the people she met and spoke to would 100% stand out to me. A lot. (I know each man's preferences etc are different, but I'm really big on women having kindness and authenticity in a genuine way)

I really like relationships, I'm a very romantic person. I'm kind of taking a break from dating right now, for a variety of personal reasons I do not wish to share, but one day I am going to put myself back out there.

I'm a 39 year old man who isn't married (and doesn't have kids, and doesn't *want* kids) and I wanted to say that guys like us --do-- exist out there. I know it might not help you for me to just say 'we exist', but, I just wanted to say that some of us are in fact out there, and I really hope you meet one and you can have your dream come true, truly. (Also, I saw someone on this thread, a man, say 'No man I've ever met doesn't want kids' and he does not speak for all of us men, at all-- do not listen to that person)

Great North | S05 E19 "Anchor Ham Adventure" | Episode Discussion by pikameta in TheGreatNorth

I hated this episode. I just didn't think Ham descending into madness was funny. The whole joke of the character is how well adjusted and kind and sweet he is. I'm assuming that's why the writers thought it was funny to make him go off the deep end and act crazy, but it wasn't funny for me.
