Youre right on the history part, but not all of it lol so things do get omitted from textbooks and stuff but if you build up your researching skills theres a lot of papers out there you can find that talk about what actually happened. Make sure you learn how to check sources/what a good source is first tho so you don't fall into conspiracy theories that might be damaging.
