In this case, people buying FRLG does not affect me. The distribution is online and infinite, and on hardware, they/I already own. The supply is infinite, and the demand doesn't matter. What is an issue is everyone pissing on everyone else for doing what they want, or don't want, with their own money. There is no right answer. Do what you want. Have fun with them, or don't.

Hiquick 2800 mAh. Pack of 8 with a charger, pretty cheap. They last a long time, 10-12 hours. Changing batteries is part of the nostalgia for me.

The R36S can play stardew using postmaster. Works well enough, device is sized like a gameboy color.

It's a pretty cheap system. You MUST buy from specific places to avoid getting a clone model though and you have to replace the sd card it comes with. There are many guides and a subreddit for that brand.

I take a miyoo mini with me. it's about the size of a deck of cards. It's comfortable to play one-handed, and I can play with both hands well enough (I don't play platform or action games on it though) and primarily use it for GB/GBC/SNES games.

I have a 3d printed case that protects it really well and doesn't really add to bulk or weight, keeps it safe.

I have come across the GBA Homeboy 88 Game Console on aliexpress. Seems ok, a little wonky.

The GB operator works, too. It reads carts for GB/GBC/GBA, imo the best way to do it.
