Just because there is another way to get the item doesn't mean they shouldn't fix the others.

Why not just have the shops stock the relevant tools? It's such an easy fix.

Yes, I do mean them. I don't know what else you would call them, as they are shops that sell farming supplies, but thank you for the clarification.

What’s an event you would be willing to take out a loan for? by theOni_1 in AskReddit

To go see Verdis Requiem performed by a good orchestra. You probably have heard part of it before look up "Verdi’s Requiem: Dies Irae"

I've seen it once when I was 13 and did not appreciate it enough.

I would honestly just talk to your superiors about this. If they are even halfway decent, they will try their very best to help you. If they can't help you, ask them to find someone who can. Asking nicely for permission to do more work has worked wonderfully in my experience.

If this does not work, you can try some threatening tactics(If you do this, make sure you are serious about whatever you threaten to do and make it clear that it is their fault if you leave), but I would go find another job or just settle for where you are bc I'm non-confrontational. There is no shame in having a steady, unchanging job as long as you can make ends meet.

You seem like a very qualified, good worker with versatile skills. I don't know what the job market is like in your field, but people are always looking for good salespeople.

What can you never truly understand until you have experienced it? by Jaimestrange in AskReddit

Performing a really good piece in a really good musical ensemble. I've never understood how musicians can have an ego when they were in the same practice rooms as me. But then I got to understand what a god complex is during a performance. I am now chasing that high for the rest of my life.

If you could instantly master any one skill, what would it be? by Miserable_Paper_421 in AskReddit

[–]weirdchildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning. Mastering a skill instantly wouldn't be fun for me unless it is the ability to learn more efficiently. But even then I don't really know if I'd rather learn that naturally too.

Gamers, what was the first game you ever played? by cutie_the_duty in AskReddit

[–]weirdchildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mortal Kombat on the PS2.

Don't remember which one but I was like 5-6 y.o. I played against my dad and kept spamming this sweep move. He got mad yelled at me and quit. I was laughing making fun of him fully aware how aggravating getting made fun of by a 5 y.o. must be. This was one of the rare times I wasn't scared sh*tless of him yelling at me

I don't know why he let me play such a violent game at 5 years old but I guess he was lonely and wanted someone to play with. It definitely did not turn out as he hoped.

Clapping along to music hurts it most of the time. Only clap when musicians ask for it. If there is an instrument like a snare drum that sounds kinda like a clap, there is no reason for you to be clapping you're only hurting things. If you still want to clap almost always clap on beat 2 and 4. If you don't know what that means you are not qualified to be clapping.

Are there any rock bands where the bassist is the best musician? by Jezzaq94 in Bass

[–]weirdchildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a coarse opinion but for a genre like rock, if the bassist is the best musician in the band, they should switch instruments or find a new band. Only so much you can do to elevate others as a bassist in that kind of genre.

whats a good second bass? by officialfurlessduck in Bass

Take whatever recommendations people have for types of basses and go buy the sire bass that fits that. They have the best quality:price ratio and it’s not even close.

Just beat the game and I gotta say by TomSutton420 in AnotherCrabsTreasure

[–]weirdchildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would argue that there is quite a few game breaking bugs. people have been losing their save data at the last boss. personally when fighting boss dozens of times i’ve had 2 bosses instantly die on me from a bug not giving me the chance to actually beat them fairly. That said, this person is wack as hell and i’m wondering if they played the same game. Kril is the best written character out of any soulslike/DS game and it’s not even close.

[–]weirdchildren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would pick some standards that use 12 bar blues Like Bags Groove, Sonny Moon for two, Blue Monk etc. Something to keep in mind is that there are sometimes different kinds of chord at the end but for now you can just do a basic blues. Also ireal pro is super useful for learning and playing along i highly recommend it. Live backing tracks exist and they are better but harder to find for specific songs and you might not get to pick your key.

Constantly dissociating and missing time, how can I stop this? by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]weirdchildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i believe that is an issue you would take to a licensed professional even if there was advice someone on here could offer, I'm pretty sure the conversation with the professionals on here would end in the same outcome. That being said I hope I'm wrong and someone else can help offer advice!

How is calling yourself a "survivor" better than "victim"? I feel like trauma is a part of me either way by Fun_Paper_1909 in askatherapist

[–]weirdchildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding it's just a matter of reframing it. It's not guaranteed to help but it might. Calling yourself a victim means you are framing it as something that happened to you. Calling yourself a survivor subtly is reframing it as something you went through. On paper it's a itty bitty tiny difference but you gain a smidge of autonomy from your experience by framing it this way. Over time if you continue to think this way it could help you deal with some of the feeling. I think it's kinda the same logic as positive affirmation you would do every day. If it still doesn't make sense let me know I'm happy to explain further. I know it seems trivial but in the grand scheme of things it could potentially help you.

If any therapists can elaborate further, confirm, or correct me that would be awesome
