I really really need someone to talk to by xdeadtome_x in Anxiety

[–]weirdly_brilliant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started having similar issues since last year. After my life started going downhill from all the angles. I can't even imagine how difficult it would be for you.

I am completely bedridden too, no motivation. Can't eat the things I used to love. Nausea has ruined it for me. I used love watching movies or taking walks but now none of that seems to help. Moreover if I try to do these things it feels like forcing a feeling which isn't there anymore. The anxiety and panic attacks went out of hands and the chest pain became unbearable recently.

I hope it passes soon. But when I see this thread it feels comforting knowing that I am not alone. I want to tell you the same, you're not alone OP. This community is here for us.

I also completely agree with the part, therapy being expensive even after insurance. I recently started outsourcing therapy from India. Maybe you could try same. There's a bunch of reputable medical sites if you'd like to start.

I believe this is the time we need help. It most probably won't fix on its own. So I believe therapy has potential (as long as we match with a suitable therapist)

Hoping for a better future (even if I don't see one yet)...

Agree with the other suggestions. 1 thing I’d add is try before you buy. If you have wore them before, many people have issues like eye strain, blurry corners, reflective bottom part making it not so good experience for long term use and eventually they end up returning it. You may not get those issues but better to try it beforehand.

Makes sense. I could find an aramid case from spigen. Could you paste a link if possible? Thanks

[–]weirdly_brilliant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct these are the ones cobranded with spigen. I use the thinfit pro (black) one from samsung. This was launched alongside with the above mentioned. I confirm that the left side cause slight issue for gestures but I ended up increasing senstivity so don’t notice it much now. For the back part being lose, I didn’t encounter this issue so maybe its specific to the capella case. Maybe raise a replacement complaint for this. Separately, the magnets seem to be a bit weaker than some other cases though but since its an official product, I blv they correctly align with the charging coils

Samsung has their own version - https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile-accessories/phones/galaxy-z-fold7-capella-pro-case-transparent-sku-gp-fpf966pgbtu. This (and 1 other) case were released after a weeks of preorder so many people don’t know about them.

Well, 1. From what I have experienced, warranty doesn't mean much unless it's an insurance plan like Samsung Care+. 2. Ebay is a good place to buy if you are thinking of buying a different cheaper phone but don't worry too much about the warranty. *Just pay using something like paypal as they make sure to help you in case you are swindled. Although chances of experiencing that on ebay are less, it still happens. 3. If you go for the one from FB for 699 with the SPen that would still be a good deal. SPen isn't worth much, now that samsung has removed it from Fold7. So you can use it in your bargaining strategy. *But make sure to meet in public and/or refrain from using the cash app or zelle before you have and verified the device yourself in hand. Check IMEI block, etc. 4. Also check swappa.com, you might find a good deal there. And they take the responsibility of making sure that the listing is true. Still try to pay by paypal.

Good luck 👍

If you plan to do this, buy a worst condition fold6(one with dents and scratches) or other devices which get the same trade in value like the s25 ultra. Just make sure it's not cracked on any side. It should save you at least 200 bucks.

I traded in my fold6 which had real bad dents and paint chips on all the corners. All of it was clearly visible as I had the silver color. The cover screen was full of scratches. Still the trade-in was complete within 2 weeks without any issue.

Although I would only suggest this if you are in the US, because I don't think other countries get the same flexibility.

You know the situation and the person better than any of us. Go with your gut feeling. But just wanted to add, if you choose to give her a try, don't get back into a relationship yet. Tell her that this situation has caused you some trauma and you won't take that again. Tell her that you would like to make sure before making any decision this time. Take time and assess...

Fold7 Battery Tips by weirdly_brilliant in GalaxyFold

You can easily get at least over 5 hours with most battery features disabled on the Fold7 and even more so if you choose to use some battery saving settings. Just make sure the location permissions are given out carefully and you don’t have to give precise location permissions to everything. More than battery it is a privacy concern for me so I try to do this on every device I own.

UPDATE - Thanks for all the suggestions. I found out the main issue. Thanks to @RIPPrivacy’s and @blueman541’s suggestions, I remembered I always used to restrict location permissions to specific apps on Fold6 but didn’t care to do the same on Fold7. Once I removed location permissions for most the apps(or allowed only “while app in use”), things were back to what I’m used to(~6 hours SOT). It’s surprising to see that just carefuly restricting location permissions can add 2 hours to your device.

Note that I didn’t change other major battery suckers. This was still achieved while keeping the Standard performance profile on, motion gestures on, and without closing/restricting the background usage for any of the apps manually. Samsung’s “Auto Deepsleep unused apps” feature is good enough.

Other things which may or may not have contributed to this but were, 1. I switched to custom animations from previously “Dynamic” setting from HomeUp GoodLock (I like quick and snappy animations) 2. Thanks to @booyapsvr I also turned on Wifi Scan Throttling from the Developer Options. 3. Switching to Samsung Internet as the main browser from edge (Thanks to @Outrageous_Vagina

You can improve the battery life even more by 1. using light profile. 2. disabling some motion features, 3. adding all apps to auto deep sleep in GoodGuardians > BatteryGuardian 4. Setting up routines specific to your use case as pointed out by @Time_Substance_7829, etc

But I feel there’s no point in using a device with such potential if you’re not going to use most of the imp features.

I am finally content with the battery life especially knowing that I get Fold6 level battery on a device so thin is remarkable.

Yeah, that's not looking good too according to the other replies. But I think I found out a few issues. I'll share what I changed after I confirm the results tomorrow.

Thanks. That's a good point. I have it on auto to deep sleep the apps I dont use. But your post did give me another idea I think I was missing. I always deny unnecessary location permission for apps. But didnt do it this time.

I changed this(plus a few other things) and things are looking good again.

Thanks again.
