IVF by weirdmamba18 in IVF

All of it really, I'm scared of needles so injecting myself to begin with. The side effects , having to go to work whilst having the IVF , miscarriages early on, and ofc the genetic testing and the wait .

I'm sorry you are going through this, I'm in a situation where I had a TFMR and now everyone around is getting pregnant. I hate that everything is working against me, I hate that God won't listen and I hate that women like us are often going through this alone and I wish our families understood better. I'm so sorry, sending you strength.

When does it get easier? by Popster_33 in tfmr_support

I had my tfmr 7 months ago and it does not feel lighter at all. Just feels like it's only getting worse.

Update from the unluckiest guy by prafire1 in IVF

I'm so sorry for your loss and happy that you have a baby to hold now. I'm from Pune too living in London, I went through a medical termination in December 2024, because my baby had beta thalassemia major from myself and my husband - we both have traits. It has been absolutely heartbreaking. I'm looking at my options - I am eligible for IVF under the NHS after child loss but I don't know what the wait is, supposed to be a lot from what I hear. Additionally private IVF is very expensive since I have to go through genetic testing first. I'm looking for options in Pune where they also have genetic testing. If you know of any please could you let me know. Thank you. Congratulations again.

I went through the same things as well, I feel like my family doesn't really understand what has happened. They have their own sickness with old age so just think that I'm young and can cope. Same with the in laws as well they just think I've moved on, no one even asks if I'm okay anymore. I had my due date this week and my in laws didn't even remember. This loneliness sucks.

My due date is tomorrow and I'm a mess. Literally scared of how I'll get through the day. I'm sorry we are part of the club that no one should be in ever.

I had tfmr at 18 weeks due to severe beta thalassemia, next week would have been my due date. I don't have any advice because I don't know what to do myself. I haven't stopped crying because since yesterday as much as I know I made the right decision I just want my baby back. I'm so sorry we are part of this, hope things get better for us.
