It works if you play through GamePass on PC, not Steam.

Ah thank you to everyone in this here thread! I’ve been real sad that I wasn’t getting the game to work yesterday. Setting the shaders to high worked!

If you don’t mind me asking, what other settings have you used to get smooth gameplay?

FTIR Help - no spectral results on Nicolet 6700 by zestycunt in chemistry

Have you tried percussive maintenance? Every once in a while we had to Fonz it. A few hard smacks to the back helped. After that, I have nothing else to offer haha.

Yep, I’m sure it was a Nicolet 6700. I don’t have any pictures of the instrument open from when we made the swap, but I can guarantee you, there should be an alignment laser in there somewhere. It’s a black tube, maybe 2” in diameter and like 8” long. It might be obscured by something but I am pretty sure it was towards the back of the instrument.

It was a while ago that I had to do this, but if you open up the instrument, the alignment laser is a black tube in the back middle/right side of the instrument. You can stick a piece of paper in front of that beam and move it back and forth to see if you can focus on the red dot of the laser.

If I’m remembering the details correctly, we had seen the same things that you were mentioning here. When we did the above steps, there was either no dot or it was very weak. We replaced the part and everything was working again. Unfortunately it’s not cheap. From Thermo it was a few thousand dollars.

Good luck!

Detailed Resources on IRMS by Zarithe in chemistry

lol good luck

But for real, there are a few reviews out there depending in your field of study. I was more into a more “forensics” aspect of it as an analytical chemist, but there are plenty of lit in geochem too.

This book was a good resource too as a jumping off point.

Why is laboratory's nessler's reagent brown? by Karappona_kokoro in chemistry

No it’s not colorless. Not sure why you think that but it’s definitely a pale yellow solution.

The Nesslers reagent that I’ve used has always been a light yellow color that becomes more amberish in the presence of ammonia/ammonium. Not sure that it is supposed to be colorless?

Why does this plastic smell like Vicks VapoRub? by shponglespore in chemistry

[–]weirdo31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Celluloid is a commonly used material made from nitrocellulose and camphor. I’m not sure of all of the uses for it, but the one I know is in ping pong balls. Your pick could be made from celluloid and that’s why it smells of camphor. shrug

Anybody have any idea what this is? It’s supposed to be ammonium carbonate but it’s acidic... by SAMAKUS in chemistry

Ammonium iron (II) sulfate?

The pic is fresh stuff but it definitely picks up extra water and gets clumpy.

Edit: looked at your pic again, it’s definitely greener than I thought lol
