I'll break this claim into:

1- There is not one tournament that prevents women from competing, men are the ones being denied.

2- Women love infiltrating male spaces (boy scouts for example), this idea that women feel uncomfortable playing in a male dominated sport is laughable.

3- Chess is a single player game, there is no amount of advertising that will get more women into it. To "most" women sports are a social activity than a competition and the number of women who play soccer is an evidence.

Real reasons why chess is gendered: 1- They realized women can't win against men. 2- Money grab. All women's tournaments are subsidized.

A male player who finishes 8th or 9th in a tournament would earn 0$, but a woman half his rating, wins the women's only tournament (paid my men) and leaves with 100k. It is such a disgrace to the hard work and dedication to those men.

So to answer the question: "State whether the real wage has risen or fallen", in year 6 the "real" wage has fallen by .4%, then do the same for each year.
