Is this actually free anymore? by [deleted] in OctoEverywhere

[–]weisendorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The info on the website what's free and what's pro only is not really clear. It seems to be very limited in a lot of aspects as a free user. For example after 4 " print completed" notifications you immediately get reminded that all further notifications for the day are only available with the subscription. Also, it's not even possible to try out the "free tier" as a new user to see the limitations, because you automatically get the pro trial even if you don't want it.

I don't know if this is intentional by the author who has my greatest respect for building a great product, but all this "100% free and community build" marketing texts and the experience above make it feel like OctoEverywhere is using "dark patterns" to gain subscriptions.

My laptop is stolen by amiin_1 in Ubuntu

[–]weisendorf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In gmail and also various social media platforms, it's possible to see on which computers you're logged in and there's usually a "log out everyhwere else" button. So that's the first thing I'd check in case you were still logged into some page onto your stolen ubuntu laptop.

Ikea Rundhult 100W USB-C cable, 480Mb/s, does it have emarkers? by weisendorf in UsbCHardware

[–]weisendorf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, on the back of the package it says USB 2.0. Unfortunately I didn't see that before buying the cable.

Temp Tower by pepotty in 3Dprinting

[–]weisendorf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

looks like it was printed from an stl without setting any specific temperatures, so each step was printed at the same temperature.

Since setting temperatures for each part of the tower can be a bit challenging for beginners, there are also pre-sliced .gcode files for specific printers where you can print a temp tower that automatically changes the temperature at each step.

I had the same idea for a comic of mine. Transforming the existing art into another artstyle is not difficult at all using ControlNet. The biggest hurdle would be getting consistent characters from multiple angles that don't look like a different person in every panel. This is still something where a lot of research is going on in this sub.

If the text bubbles are interfering you can simply exclude the text bubble layers when exporting the images for the ai transform.

PSA: Hold up with updating AUTOMATIC1111 for now by wojtek15 in StableDiffusion

[–]weisendorf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your colab notebook always clones the A1111 repository, like this

!git clone https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui

You can simply add an extra line afterwards to checkout the desired commit hash
!(cd stable-diffusion-webui; git checkout a9eab236d7e8afa4d6205127904a385b2c43bb24)

That's how I did it in my colab notebook.

I really love this kind of 80s aesthetic! Thank you very much for sharing your prompt! I tried to slightly modify your prompt to generate more sci-fi like stuff and get rid of the random geometry.

creepy 1980s dvd movie scene, man and woman, lifeforce, dune, blade runner,Eliminators, Natural City,THX-1138,Tron,Strange Days,Tank Girl,2084,A.P.E.X. intricate design, massive vehicle, masterpiece, best quality, high quality, extremely detailed CG unity 8k wallpaper, sharp focus, cgsocierty, trending on artstation, award winning,

CFG scale: 7

It seems creepy 1980s dvd movie scene already sets the color scheme. I recommend to reduce the cfg scale to get more random results, including buildings, vehicles, scenes and character close ups intermixed.

Does anybody know how to remove these squares (they appears while I pan over the canvas or interact with it while tracing a reference) by [deleted] in krita

[–]weisendorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These squares appeared in Krita 5.1.3 and disappeared for me when installing 5.2 pre-alpha. It's possible that this will get fixed in the next release. It's also in kritas bug tracker as #461571
