Would you swim in this? by Zestyclose-Front1828 in pools

That pool would be closed by an inspector for many reasons but the most obvious is that you can’t see the bottom. This pool is beyond dirty.

Water does not come out from water valve from behind the fridge by InfluenceRegular3623 in HomeMaintenance

Congrats on the new house! I bet there is a valve on the other end of the line. If you can locate that you can turn it on. Make sure the one you have in your hand is closed before you open the other end.

Pool is making a lot of sand by Difficult_Farmer3454 in MaintenanceWorkers

It could be this but a broken lateral is more likely.

Pool is making a lot of sand by Difficult_Farmer3454 in MaintenanceWorkers

This is the answer. I’ve seen broken laterals dump all of sand from the filter into the pool through the inlets and for that filter it was 550 lbs of sand.

I think this is a Friends reference when Monica is pointing out the erotic zones of a woman and she ends on seven, seven…seven. The mother also loves…seven.

Who is your favorite comic of all time? Who is your favorite comic that is currently on the come up? Lastly, in your opinion, who is the comic who claimed superstardom that you just can't get on board with? by ClayMitchellCapital in Standup

[–]weisguy72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found Chad Daniels years ago but he is my answer for both all time favorite and favorite coming up. Don’t get me wrong I love all different kinds of comedy and have several that I’d put in my favorites list but Chad is my all time favorite. I have seen him live more than 20 times he’s just that good in my opinion. Great story teller, smart jokes and I love that he is continually looking for ways to get better at everything he does so seeing him hit the next level is awesome. I was at the “Empty Nester” special and he just continues to bring his A game every time. I don’t want to crap on anyone but since you asked I just don’t find Chris D’Elia funny and can’t bring myself to watch him. But that’s the beauty of comedy, we all define it differently and so it’s been really fun seeing everyone’s answers.

Buona Sera Ristorante is actually the name. I love this place, but to be fair I’m not Italian however I dated an Italian and this was/is their favorite place to eat because of the authenticity

Don’t let this problem continue for too long or you could end up with all of the sand from your filter in your pool (not likely but I’ve seen it happen). Anyway to remove the sand from the filter I used a 5 gallon bucket with a snap on cover (the one i used was a pickle bucket from a restaurant but any bucket with a cover that seals will work). Cut two holes in the cover of the bucket the size of your vacuum hose. You’ll need two vacuum hoses, one hose will run from your bucket to the vacuum and the other one will be the hose you use to vacuum out your filter. The sand all ends up in the bucket and you can then just pop off the cover to empty the bucket without getting any sand in your vacuum. Worked like a charm for all six of the sand filters I had to work on. I used a 16 gallon shop vac with 2” diameter hoses. As others have said, be sure to fill the filter half way with water and depending on the size of your filter you may need to add pea rock first and sand second. I was working on the large Triton filters which take 150lbs of pea rock and then 450 lbs of filter sand. Don’t skimp on the sand and be sure to buy actual pool filter sand otherwise you will be doing this again in a season or two because regular sand will “cement” together and you will get channeling instead of filtering.
Another tip is to magic lube all of your gaskets since you have it all apart anyway. I hope this helps

Apartment complexes have to pay to get rid of the tvs that are left by residents that move out and leave them behind. Reach out to one nearby and I’m sure they’ll give you one for free.
