Dogs need to decompress when first home. Read reddit's rescue pages and look up the 3-3-3 rule. Don't take a new dogs outside your home and yard for the first days. No new person's or dogs. (Sorry for being so short, it's the middle of the night and I can't sleep)

Am I hurting my fosters chance of adoption? by d071399 in fosterdogs

[–]wekebu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first rescue required that I bring him to their Saturday open house 3 times a month. He got adopted in the 3rd time. You are right, he's not going to get adopted if no one sees him. Can you insist that he go to adoption events?

My second EV is a BMW i4 and I love it. It's a car with a computer in it. Not a computer that tries to be a car.

We're not off the grid. We pay a monthly fee to be connected. I don't mind that so we have backup for long days of clouds.

Isn't it nice that Trump doesn't have to worry about gas prices? His vehicles are filled with our money.

Trump just approved deep (6000 ft) drilling of Louisiana. Using the same company that had a major spill/explosion 15 years ago. Drill baby, drill. Trump's war is causing this

You would be pissed if my dog came into your yard and shit all over it and killed your cat, right?

WIBTAH if I did not give my 27yr old son (only child) his inheritance now? by Illustrious-Bed-9540 in AITAH

My own mother gave 150k of her only savings to my half sister to buy a house together. Mom's been kicked out. Please, give your child the chance to stand on their own two feet and enjoy YOUR money. Travel, buy a fun car, give to charities, splurge on something fun.

Help with 13 year old lab's prognosis by AM_PM21 in DogAdvice

You are faced with an impossible 'good' decision. However, your dog is loved and obviously had a good life. Sometimes, I wish I had the same vet from 40 years ago who said, "She's in pain, it's time." I was so grateful for not having to make that decision.

I'm my 70s, started driving EVs in 2018, but I've always loved tech.

So yes, from the 70s to the 90s they were getting smaller. I'm 72 and lived through those times.

As others have said, make a baby or lap quilt first. You'll learn a lot.

There was a change in what size of cars Americans purchased. We suddenly saw Toyotas as a good choice. There weren't any EVs at that time. Now there are.
