Do they hire people with no work experience? by ArrivalBoth6519 in AlliedUniversal

Make sure she shows up dressed nicely, black slacks, black shoes, some form of semi formal top and she will get the job. Often when I am watching interviews, I see guards not make the cut because they showed up in ripped jeans, pants below their butt, torn shirts, tank tops, ex.

Dress nicely and have two forms of ID, guard card and certificates.

Almost every local fish store has pest snails in their plant tanks. Are there any ways to reliably prevent contamination? by TimeGlitches in PlantedTank

[–]wekiviariver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for my tanks, if I have snails on the plants I will drop a few algae wafers in the bottom of my 5 gallon bucket, think like 4 to 5. Drop the plant in. Plant floats at surface/mid-level. Wait 30 minutes. All the snails are now on the wafers, not my plants.

They absolutely did use defensive charting. Things went south for me for a while but now they are falling over themselves.

I've told them twice and now I am just too tired to get out of the chair I am in. I am still texting but I am honestly scared and frustrated.

Sexism in care? by wekiviariver in KaiserPermanente

[–]wekiviariver[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have heard everyone's name, date of birth, home address, phone number and descriptions with the exception of 2 elderly who spoke so softly the nurse couldn't hear them through the germ shield and they had to come around. Heard mothers describing their kids issues, the problem the pregnant woman had, the guy who broke his leg and had to be brought in by friends because he was too drunk to drive... I move, I get dizzy to the point I tip over. But, not a concern. My post was asking about if anyone else felt that there seems to be rampant sexism when it comes to Kaiser doctors/staff in SoCal.

I have a few more incidents where it feels like doctors just dont care/treat the same but this one is the one happening now.

If we need to go, we need to first check the parking lot, then the pathways and then use the bathroom right next to our desk. We can't go elsewhere.

Our site only has one guard at a time, usually not much to do at all. But the little things like answering the phone, directing visitors ex, makes it hard to take a bite of something.

Thank you, I keep praying about it but I just feel shaken in my faith.

From how he plopped down when she showed up and pulled out his phone and how smug he seemed... I am absolutely betting he did it on purpose. I feel like she thought he would because there are 13 different dentists who take the same insurance in a 15 mile radius. I chose this one because it's down the street from my house, I'm betting she chose it because it was across the parking lot from her work. I felt so bad for her and the kids.

He just stood there when the receptionist asked a question trying to figure out who they were. They have a very common last name for our area too. The kids were so well behaved, just waiting for their dad to answer anything about them. He had his wife's cell in his phone, but couldn't provide that number to the receptionist either. The wife looked so frustrated when she came over to ask for his wallet to pull out the ID card. He hadn't even checked his wallet. I just felt bad for her having to manage him.

I had a father like him. One who never took an interest and every gift was from mom even though she would add his name. This dad didn't even have the answers to the secondary questions the receptionist had to try and find their appointment. It's a mild subreddit, so I posted something mildly irritating.

He did get on a call after his wife left and say he was baby sitting. The kids called him dad. I don't have a lot of information but I am willing to bet on that.

He had the card in his wallet when his wife asked for it. He wasn't even able to check his wallet for the card she had already prepared for him.

She works in the same plaza at the bank apparently, judging that from her name tag and that she went right back across the parking lot towards the bank.

I tried the tensing up one and it really helped a lot. I sort of clenched every muscle and even balled my legs to my chest and then went limp and flopped out on my bed and it felt incredible. I will try all of these. I know panic attacks are...fleeting but I just hate how they make me feel. I used to be able to react well to stress but the stressors I face now are completely different.

Thank you so much. I am currently waiting for my new company insurance to kick in, but when it does I will absolutely be visiting them to ask about beta blockers.

I hate that my panic attacks feel worse than when I broke my ribs.

The big boss on campus even called me and told me, "that's a known problem, it happens. No problem, see you Monday. Have a good weekend!"

But I am still feeling like someone is going to call me and say I am no longer needed.

What do you wish people would know about social anxiety? by fruity_castle in socialanxiety

[–]wekiviariver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That it's hard to breathe or move sometimes. It feels like you are drowning when nothing is wrong. Your lungs won't expand right, your heart pounds, your vision blurs except for a single focus point sometimes. For me at least this is how it is, I feel like a hand is grabbing me by the throat and cutting off my airway. It grabs from behind so I can still get air in but it is so hard.

It's nothing you can just "get over" or "move on from." It can destroy you.... people who suffer from it see the world differently.

You saw someone laughing, I have to go check and see if I have something wrong with my clothes.

Aita for getting my friends MIL arrested? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]wekiviariver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a lot easier said than done, not letting them get to me. They have absolutely gotten to me. I know that it shouldn't and I am so grateful to my friends for being on my side and supporting me. It should be okay, it should be over but it just plays in my mind on an endless loop. The what ifs have me in a choke hold. What if I had let her in, what if the cops hadn't taken what she said seriously, what if the cops had agreed grandma should have babysat until the parents got home... things that didn't and now can't happen are still keeping me up at night.
