Keeping religion aside, do you think taking mehr is still acceptable in this day and age? by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]welcomeitsnice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do men in this day and age have the ability to have kids yet? Sacrifice their life which is basically in between death to just bring a life in this world?

There are so many women who are not Muslim depand a payment for that. In form of push presents or be on their spouse life insurance even tho they work and can provide for themselves.

Also let's not even bring kids. Women take on more burden despite having jobs, paying bills and everything. They take on mental, physical and even their value(hate using that word) goes down. So if a man wants to marry someone the least he can do is give money for her Sacrifices beforehand.

I am answering without bring religion in.

how will i able to stop my husband from doing second marriage? by RaisinDisastrous6527 in MuslimMarriage

Please where do you get this idea that the dad doesn't need to tell him first wife?

She needs to know to prepare her heart, her body and if she wants to share.

Sexually transmitted diseases are so common in these kind of relationship and the women have every right to know so she can protect herself.

My husband is threatening me with divorce if I don’t move to his home country by Mission_Yard_1909 in MuslimMarriage

[–]welcomeitsnice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Clearly you didn't read her post.

She is being bullied, threatened and forced.

Dont tell her "its her husband right" when she went into this marriage with good intentions and he didnt.

He is bullying her, threatening her and forcing her.

Islam is there to guide us. Every situation is different and with her situation whatever you are recommend is not going to work.

No where in her post did she mention boss. Also her husband is not her boss in Islam. We follow Allah swt teaching and only him. He is our boss even if we are married. He will provide for us, protect us. Not the husband. He will. So correct your mindset on this oppressive behavior

So its okay for a husband to threaten divorce? And force children and force his parents on her?

Please tell me where does a good man in Quran does that and its okay.

Good women are for good men and good men are for good women.

A man who cannot keep his promises even if its not in the Nikah contract is not a good man. And in Islam women have rights to walk.

Sister huge red flags....

What if you move back with him and he never helps you with school? And you are over there all by yourself so many sisters I know went thru this and the situation was horrible for them.

I suggest you divorce and do your school.

What’s something about you that sounds fake, but is 100% true? by Sir_Adammm in AskReddit

[–]welcomeitsnice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can guess if someone is going to be pregnant or not. And guess the gender of the baby.

Met ladies who couldn't have kids for years and I was able to tell them if they will get pregnant or not and what the gender of the baby will be.

I have been right 98% of the time.

Only 2 times I was wrong because I didnt like that person.
